    I use a 265/75R16 with the factory 16" wheels. They're a standard load tire.

So after seeing your post I contacted Jason and ordered front coilovers and upper control arms. Very excited to try them out. Will be replacing Fox 2.0 ifp with about 60k on them. They need rebuilding and I want to add a bumper and winch. Jason has been great to email back and forth with. Price is good and i figure some people have to be the Guinea pigs before a product catches on and the price goes up:)

    B,

Thank you for the order and emails back and forth. I'll get the PP invoice over for the parts deposit tomorrow. I had to get a custom 200 Land Cruiser build finished and out today and it took all our spare time.

Thanks Jason. Got the PP invoice and it's all taken care of. Now I wait!

While these are great prices and look awesome I won’t be able to join this GB. That said, have you tried to add this to the GB thread? I had looked for this earlier and didn’t see it there. Might get more bites on there.

Thanks for putting this together and offering it for us! Good luck.

What spring rates are being used with these on the coilovers? Since they aren’t height/preload adjustable do they offer a heavier spring for use with excess weight (Bumper, winch, skids) up front?

I’m about to pull the trigger on Ironman FCP kit but these are interesting.

I'm not sure on the exact spring rates, but I know that Tough Dog offers three different springs for different weight needs like other Australian brands.

Hopefully Tough Dog or Trail Tailor can chime in on the spring rates. I’m also looking at the Bilsteins 6112/5160 combo but would need the upgraded 650lb spring.

@bradleg - Not sure if this will answer your question or not, but this was communication provided to me from Jason @TRAIL TAILOR

"There are 2 different front coil for the struts. An H and a HH they are both a 800# spring but the HH is 10mm taller so I’d expect to see a 2” lift up front with a bumper and synthetic line winch approx. ½” taller without."

I did my best to not take this out of context with the additional information he provided. Jason has been VERY responsive to my questions, I imagine he will jump in here when he is available.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the information. 800# sounds like it could be a stiff ride.

I've been pretty happy with the ride on my truck. Off road, with the rebound adjustments set was plush and comfortable. The V6 will likely make the ride even softer since there'll be a bit more weight in the front.

It was comparable in ride to @Man of Steel TRD and his Bilstein 5100 truck for on road ride.

So yesterday I made a trip to Horseshoe Lake. It's a man made reservoir just North East of Phoenix that is only reached by ten or so miles of graded dirt road. Nothing challenging for even a sedan, but as you all know these types of roads turn washboard quickly, so I wanted to give a review of this suspensions washboard performance.

First, I aired down my tires to 25psi, still fairly high, but I didn't want to spend a half an hour airing up later. I also adjusted the shocks from my road driving set up (level 4). I got back under way and then realized I had stiffened the shocks further! The ride was the same as if I hadn't aired down at all. Adjusting the suspension again ( to level 1) turned my 8mphs of agony into 21mph of Cadillac-like floating over washboard.

I just wanted to let this be known since I figure Washboard performance might rank highly for some and as I learned today... Is *definitely* impacted by how your shocks ride.

I think the big differentiator between these and Ironman's is how much lift you're looking for. I have the lighter four cylinder and got 1.5" of lift initially which is perfect for me, but that means a V6 will likely get about 1" instead. I know that Ironman's can give more lift.

The draw for Toughdog's is the adjustable rebound damping. I still think it's a great feature for the cost.

Ultimately, I haven't been off road as much as I'd like. I have only been on one trip since my last post but the truck performed flawlessly on washboard and the mild trails later on.

What kind of ride and lift are you looking for?

I am looking to get about 2 to 2 1/2 inches in front. I am not afraid to try something that might be new to the US, but is proven elsewhere (especially if elsewhere is Australia!). Sounds like it might need to be Ironman. The adjustable shocks are nice to have. I had Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks on my Jeep and they were nice to have.

Jumping in on this. Anyone else have updates on their Tough Dog setup? I’m in the market to replace worn out suspension on 2012 TACOMA TRD OR 4x4. I’m on the fence about it since there are a few good options out there for our trucks. The foam cell technology is what has me hooked

I don't know if there *is* anyone else rocking TD's on a Tacoma...
