Only downside to the roll up is security, IF somebody wants your stuff, they cut it.....
I put a “undercover” hard top on my 2010, lockable, waterproof, lifts up with LED light......if I need the bed, 2 pins to remove it, easy on/off

I can understand not having remote start because of anticipated liability with it being in gear without the clutch interlock engaged. However, I do not understand why the 6MT does not allow us to open our doors from our phone if we are locked out, allow proximity entry, monitor our TPMS or have valet capability. With the smartkey the owner can take the metal key out of it and lock the glove compartment, but with our wireless keyfob we do not have that capability, nor do we get the valet key that has been standard in vehicles for years. Just the same, I would not even think of trading my manual transmission for those features. It is just so much fun to drive.

    Agree 100%
MT rocks but I don’t get the reason for missing features

I understand missing features in my $22,000 SR, but not in you guy s 40-50 k MT loaded ones

at least you are in exclusive 3pedal club :D

I agree 100%...there’s no “perk” for MT drivers and there should be! I’m happy with mine and glad I need to put it where I want it but still there should be something. Wtf

Absolutely. They saved themselves how much money with nothing being passed along to us!

Got the same cover and really like it. The Tri Folds suck. This style is much better. Easy off too if the roll is in your way. As far as security, I guess that depends on where you live. Don't really know many people with hard covers.

I had an Undercover on my Ram and while I did love the thing, it ended up in the garbage as the plastic cracked at the hinges just like countless others. Can't recommend.

The price is less for a MT though, as an example the 2021 Sport and Off Road DC in MT and AT shows.

    $35,550 MT
    $37,380 AT

I'm jealous! I had to go with the sport to get an access cab with a MT here in Oregon. Access cab MT OR would have been perfect. Maybe I will get a locker for it sometime in the future.

I've got that exact same one, I think. Truxedo TruxSport. I really like it. Like most covers, it's not 100% leak proof. It's water-tight at the head-rail and down the sides, but if you look from the top of the closed tailgate down into the bed, there are small gaps at the tailgate sides. Not a big deal at all in rain, but at a car wash with the hurricane force blowers, it'll get a little wet at the rear of the bed. I'll post if I figure out something I want to do with that for a fix. Don't really need it though, IMHO.

My bed cover isn't for security; it's to keep bird crap and massive redwood dross from mucking up the bed. The rain protection is a plus.

TruxSport was a ~45 minute solo install. I could probably do it in half that time now having done one.

The only reason I got a single piece Undercover and not the folding hard cover is because of my concern about wear at the hinges (and leakage). It’s all trade offs. The single piece limits me sometimes or I have to plan to take it off for big stuff. But for my needs it’s exactly the right choice even if I do wish it folded from time to time.

The fabric roll up one has its own pros and cons, but the big benefit is keeping wind off the contents of the bed, which may be priority uno along with low cost.

I would have also bought an Off Road Access Cab MT if they offered it in the USA,

I should have stated in my locality. When I bought my 2020 the prices were identical regardless of transmission.
