I just put these seat spacers into my 2021 TRD PRO Taco. My fiance was griping about the passenger seat position from day one so I had to find a fix and thank god Desert Does It had an quick bolt on kit. I was originally going to put it on passenger non powered seat side but after I sat in the passenger seat I put them on the powered drivers side. The power seat now has more adjustment range. My Fiance approves of the upgrade. I love the extra storage under the seats now.IMG_4525.jpg IMG_4526.jpg IMG_4527.jpg IMG_4528.jpg IMG_4529.jpg IMG_4530.jpg IMG_4499.jpg

From looking at the Husky Mats, its looks like you will need to trim the rear mats that cover the plastic trim caps.

Gotta love that color! Thanks for the kind words, happy to hear they worked out for you.

Now you have room for our underseat compressor mount :D

"aaaaahhhh" haha, that's great. I'm 6'-1" too and wouldn't drive a Tacoma without the front Seat Jackers.

Definitely going to order some of these! Hopefully it will help me get some clearance to mount some amps under both seats!

    Got it, shipped it!

Nice. Check out our under seat compressor mount, it can be used to mount pretty much anything and our updated version has slots/holes on both sides so you can mount on driver or passenger.

Our TRD Orange Seat Jackers are back in stock. We also worked up a few MMPs in TRD Orange.

I'll add pics of the MMP on Monday.

A couple questions for anyone who has used these. I read through about 30 pages. Better to just ask. :)

    1. What were you looking for when you bought them?
-I notice when I’m driving, the front edge of the seat is nowhere near the bottom of my thigh. I haven’t taken my truck on a long journey, but I feel like that would cause discomfort if I did.

    2. Did it solve the above problem?

    3. Does it decrease the gap in between the top of the front edge of the seat and the steering wheel?
-Ibalreadybhave the front edge of the seat lifted all the way up (power seats) so the gap is already pretty small. At times when I get in and out my leg rubs the steering wheel. I’d be afraid to get these and that gap decrease even more, causing me to lower the front dive of my seat with adjustments and basically defeating these jackers.

Any honest input would be appreciated!

    Hi,

Is your steering wheel raised all the way? I haven't noticed collisions with the steering wheel yet, but I have an 06 with manual seats (the one with lumbar). It was a concern for me when I got them too, since I felt like the steering wheel was low. But I haven't noticed any real consequences. How tall are you? I have my steering wheel all the way up and extended and it feels good, I'm 6'1" so I'm lucky to be the same height as @EasyDoesIt :p.

As for the under thigh, that's exactly what it eliminates for me and the reason I bought it. I can see if you're much taller than me you might still lack some because my seat is almost all the way back. I've only had them a few days and no really long trips yet but they feel good now. At first they kinda felt weird but after a few days the seat now feels like a normal seat and not a weirdly short seat like it felt at stock height. I lost a little bit of my vision of the sky but don't feel like my line of sight was significantly obstructed.

If you're wondering how they will feel I would make little wood blocks or something that are 1-1/4 tall. Remove the front bolts and loosen the back bolts and prop the front of the seats up so the blocks give you 1-1/4" rise, make sure they're not giving you more, and tighten the back bolts just a little so they're snug. Once it feels stable, carefully get into it and see how it feels. If you might like it buy 1 set to try out and get the second one later. The price is really appropriate and you can easily resell them because they're well made and great. I wouldn't use a diy solution for these, they are made to be strong in a collision.

I'm sure if you read through the thread you will see even more positive reviews, and a few people who they didn't work for. It's not really a risky investment.

    Cheers,
    Paul

Thanks for the lengthy response! Much appreciated!

I’m 6’ and current have the steering wheel all the way up and extended as well (as far as I can remember).

I didn’t even think to stick something under there for testing, so I’ll give that a shot and see how it goes.

I have power seat and the front edge has an adjustment that can be raised and lowered; it’s raised all the way now. That’s why I was concerned with the gap being removed.

I’ll get something and 1 1/4” to test out with. Thanks for the idea!

Just don't drive, obviously :p. Just make sure whatever you use doesn't sit weird and actually raise the seat more than you intended.

I've read from people with the power seats that they liked them too. It may be that you won't need the full lift, maybe with the power seat you don't need as much as us manuals. If you raise the seat 1-1/4" and have to drop it a half inch with your controls you still get some lift and may be just right for your seats.

For sure. I’ll play around with it and see if I like how it feels.

And what do you mean don’t drive? How am I suppose to know how it feels. I was planning on slapping a piece of wood down there and laying the seat on top of it and driving 300 miles. This defeats the purpose!!!

    Just kidding. :)

    1. Same as you, wanted to raise the front of the seat.

    2. Yes

    3. In my case the gap between my legs and the steering wheel is set by my legs, not the seat height. The Seat Jackers don’t move my legs higher, they bring the seat up to my legs to support them better. I don’t quite max out the front seat height with them, I probably defeat 1/4” of their 1 1/4” rise with the adjustment. That extra 1” in height on the front of the seat makes it more comfortable for me. I also raised the rear of the seat 1/2”, so the net front rise is about 1/2”. I raised the entire seat to lift my elbows a little higher off the console and armrest, I noticed I was supporting too much weight on my elbows on a cross country trip. At 6’4” I still have plenty of headroom.
