Ah okay so he's been taking some cash then? He really started with 50k?! Shiiiiiit. I thought he started with ~2m. Damn, so you're saying I could have done this. Well...Ish, I have it in a 401k but not in an IRA I could have traded stocks with. BUT my same comments before apply: My risk tolerance here would have limited me to a max gain of about 10k if it reaches 1k/share. At the current price I'm looking at a "lost potential" of about 3k max.

I found this thread at the perfect time. TW has caused me to spend tons of money, hoping it returns the favor

    I'm guessing here...

Likely except for the extremely rare case like GME, the loss avoidance of manipulating the price isn't worth the cost/risk of doing so.

... and even if something is illegal, when a couple billion $ are at stake, finding a fall guy willing to sit in club-fed for a while in exchange for a $100MM offshore account might not be such a bad bargain.

    Pure speculation.

I don't know what I'm talking about and probably watch way too many movies.

Could someone explain to me what could push this stock up to 1K like I’ve seen predicted?

The short sellers are required to buy it. If a bunch gambling fools like us buy up all the stock, the supply will be low, price will increase and keep increasing until the dam breaks and we start selling.

The short sellers have shorted over 100% of the available stock. So it's a supply and demand thing.

Edit: I don't know what I'm talking about mostly. So I reserve the right to be wrong. But I like the stock.

Yep - and as to why they don't just sit there and wait it out - the brokerages charge interest on borrowed shares based on the share price. Plus the brokers require a certain amount of collateral be deposited with them - again as a % of the share price.

Pssh. Like we aren't going to immediately cash out the profits and put them towards a set of bronze methods, and throw in a slimline bumper for the high rollers too.

Sooner or later, one way or another, the money all winds up here.

damn. I remember in March when GME said they were closing like 200 stores I even posted on here - I didn’t know they still had 200 stores they’re going the way of blockbuster.

    woopsies.
