Anybody know if the upgraded fuel pump is brushless? pump controller has voltage. Dropping the fuel tank to take out the pump and hot wire it to see if it fires

Thanks. Dropping the tank to get the pump out to test it. Never heard it firing when cranking. Hopefully its the pump or controller

If you have a physical key, there is a priming sound when the key hits the switch in the barrel.

It's a DW300, but I think it might be a slightly different pump made for @OVTune ?

Pretty sure he has the turbo fuel pump and controller not the stock fuel pump

Mat emailed me back and its a DW300C. Don't know if the OV provided pump is customized or if the off-the-shelf 300C will work just was well (assume so but will confirm again with Mat tomorrow once the new one is in hand). My shop was able to purchase and overnight a new one.

Weird that a brand new pump failed. We took the pump out of the tank and applied voltage to it. You could hear a very faint hum (shop completely quiet and only with an ear right over the pump) but did not pump when submerged in fuel. Hoping the new one works

 

It is very odd, and the first DW pump I've ever seen DOA.
I will cover the cost of the new one

 

The stock, but old OE pump in my bike was loud. I could hear it prime over my ear plugs. The replacement is almost silent, even after about 40k.

Still, weird stuff can happen with any part. It's an imperfect world.
