I just installed some SPC UCA in my 2012 Tacoma. My tires look like they are sticking pretty far out on the top of the tire. So they slant \—-/
I set the top but on the spc all the in(toward the truck) to try to get the top to come in a bit and it did. A bit. When I slowly lower the truck and weight hits the tires, the tops start to creep out again. Is this normal?
My ultimate question is will it be safe to put the full weight of the truck on without snapping anything? And also to drive to my alignment shop in the morning which is 2.5 miles away?
Thanks for any help or suggestions guys!

It’s ok to drive there, but avoid driving anywhere until it’s fixed so you don’t burn your tires up.

Thanks. I just assumed the nice machined finish of SPC was supposed to face up. So your saying take the whole arm out and flip it around? Like I put the actual control arm in upside down? Lol

I dont have ANY experience with the SPCs so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I think just the ball joint is in the wrong position. Maybe rotate it for more caster and it should pull your camber back in line.

You have the ball joint in backwards. Turn them around 180 degrees. There’s a flat spot with the SPC logo that supposed to be facing out.

Is this what you guys are suggesting? Spc logo is facing the front of the truck.

This is up to you but you may want to flip that main through bolt around. I was told when doing mine that the reason the nut is on the bottom from the manufacture is so that if the nut loosens and backs all the way off the bolt won’t fall out with it.
