I bag held NOK for months on the promise of the new 5g stuff they were working on. They trade on a day to day basis on large volume and the stock still goes sideways. There's not going to be a breakout on NOK. Unless they have a cancer cure, 5G just isn't going to make it profitable unless you have a million bucks in it at $3.

looked like a strobe like in my jeep with the blinky battery, disco ball antenna, and blinky lights behind the keyboard.

 

I picked up FEB $19 $7 calls. Way OTM when I got them. Then ITM for about an hour on Wed. Now way back OTM. They are in my IRA so it's a relatively cheap hedge if they blow out earnings. They've been mentioned in 5G articles for over a year now and I'm biding my time until they go up.

 

I could always write some covered calls on the shares I own and make money on the down

so many ways to profit in any market

lol. I had a nokia 3310 when I was rebuilding my CJ7 years ago. Didn't have a cover over the transmission hump and it slipped out of my pocket and I watched it fall onto the driveshaft. The venerable indestructible 3310 definitely got it's shit rekt when it got tossed off a 4k rpm drive shaft onto a freeway at 70mph

Oh, I totally get that. But the AMC hype is unfounded. If it was a good play I'd have seen it while I was reading everything I could possibly read over the last couple months. I think it's a hype buy, and I think people are going to make a ton of money on it if they can buy large enough and get out.

I basically live online, and AMC came on my radar a week ago. That's a hype push.

Disney was in talks to buy them out less then 6 months ago. That fell through. Disney obviously has the capitol so that leads me to believe that AMC wanted more then Disney was willing to offer. That means AMC knows they are worth more then they are valued at. Once COVID passes and Hollywood starts releasing major movies again how many people to you think will say "Hey, let's go see a movie". My bet is more then before COVID. People are tired of being home and want to GTFO.

If it's a pump and dump I'm fine with that as well but I think there's room for them to come back strong.

No, I have no positions right now in NOK, BB, AMC, BBBY, or NAKD.

People are jacked up and hyped up to find the next big thing after GME got profitable. I'm staying out of all of those because I believe it's a hype train. GME at the front because it's a legit solid play. Everybody else who feels they missed out is jumping into the other moderately shorted tickers.

There's going to be money to be made in the short term on all the ancillary tickers, but I'm afraid people are watching GME and thinking that a short squeeze is going to happen to any stock that's +50% shorted or more.

They're all going to get burned if they don't swing trade it and get out. Just my opinion.
