13 SR5 Fog Lights handle 55w halogen bulb?

I believe the factory fogs require 35w halogen bulbs. Is it safe to run 55w bulbs without causing an issue with the factory wiring harness and housings? I put yellow Lamin-x on the fogs but still have the "white" bulbs installed. I want to switch them out to yellow bulbs so my fogs put off a more yellow light. I plan on getting upgraded fogs one day, but in the meantime I'm trying to make the best of what I have.

 

Stock bulb in 12-15 is a 55w H11. You can use yellow 55w H11s like the Hella Solar Yellow or the Nokya Hyper Yellow to get the yellow effect without laminex.

 

I've already put the Lamin-x on, and I have a set of Osram 55w yellow bulbs ordered also. The yellow film does a pretty good job but it's not yellow enough with the white bulbs still in the housings.

 

Took off the yellow Lamin-x lens covers and installed 55w Osram H11 Fog Breakers.

 

In terms of yellow color:
Nokya Hyper Yellow>Hella Solar Yellow>Sylvaina/Osram Fog Breaker.

So if those are not yellow enough for you as the bulb is only partially yellow coated, give the others a try.

 

The bulb glass on these are fully yellow coated except for the silver tip.

 

My bad! I was thinking the Fog Visions. It looks like those fit in below. Should be a good choice.
