Haha Im always looking for the cool spots on the bed and my wife is always wrapped up like a burrito even in summer. I have to have one leg out usually, if I'm completely covered I get way too hot.

We need one of those beds you can adjust side to side for different preferences

 

Fuck it, just get two separate beds like @Sperrunner

Really that's how my girl is too; hogs the blankets and turns into a burrito, yet will often want me to spoon her 4-6 times a night throughout only for me to be burning up.

 

Do you get to choose your bed type at the nursing home?

Or do you just get stuck with a crappy mattress, 2 sheets and a blanket (USMC style)

Snow trip attempt #2 underway today... Literally the only place I think we can go without driving 2+ hours is up the one mountain that has no skiing or offroading on it. Hopefully that means less traffic.

 

It snowed at my house last night

 

If you look close, at the top of the mountain in front of our house there's a little snow cap lol.



These ones top out at about 4k, snow level is up to 4 feet at 6k+ so that's where we're headed

I walked like 10 miles, up and down canyons at 8000+ feet, not a good snow year for us

 

Those are some tall trees..

 

Palm trees, I hate them with a passion. Drop rock hard seeds onto cars and the street all year long.

 

Damn.. I had a walnut fall on one of my cars and put a dent on the hood.

The palm trees we had in central FL were more like this short fanned out Sabal Palm.

 

Is there a city ordinance that prohibits a property owner from cutting one down? The place where I lived in FL had some sticky laws about cutting down a tree.

 

Yeah they take on all shapes and sizes here... Mostly super tall and thin. I don't park under them though that's for sure.

 

If it's on the street like those then yeah, probably. That would be city property. If it were on your property though I don't see why not, although oak trees are protected in CA so that might require permission

 

Even if the tree isn't protected, you're still liable for fines if you cut a tree down without requesting permission from the county/state.

Trees are actually valued, based on age, species, etc. An arborist will come out to determine the age, etc. that you have to pay to get done, for determined value, and push to higher to see if you can or cannot cut it down.

 

I should mention, in CA.

 

I remember something like that in FL. I had to get an assessment and permit to get one cut down that was growing from under the house slab. The builder should have taken the time to have removed it instead of poring a slab over it. Ten years later it grew into a problem.
