That sucks that it grew to be your problem but it makes sense.

It takes a bit of time to get the tree looked at. Then getting the permit like you said.

I only know this because of the tree I cut down some years ago at my property; granted it helped that we had planted 2 more (lemon and orange trees) but I still needed the old tree assessed.

We had some friends in FL that bought an older house that had been built in between grapefruit trees. Two of the trees grew over the driveway. When grapefruits were ripe they would fall off of the trees and land on the driveway. They had a crazy amount of grapefruits each year. The yard would be full of grapefruits. They bought a machine to squeeze the juice and gave away gallons to their friends and neighbors.

 

That's awesome, but both shitty to have to do lol at least they made something of it

We have a neighbor with a big grapefruit tree as well, they frequently leave bags of them hanging on their fence for people to grab which is cool

I hate grapefruit though lol. My wife likes them

This year is just crazy with everyone wanting to get back outside again after the lockdown, esp out here where the restrictions were pretty strict for a long time. I've never seen so many fucking people on the trails and up in the mountains

Yea that would suck.

I really enjoy going up the mountain in the winter and seeing another human all day.

 

Ya our plan for attempt #3 is for me to take a day off work and go up mid week. Should be a lot better
