Modern cars still need to warm up.

It’s just that that warm up time is about as long as it takes to put on your seatbelt and check your mirrors.

Also, the only downsides to worse gas mileage or higher cost and less range. If you bought a brand new truck you’re losing ten grand as you pull off the lot. If you care about pure numbers you should have got a used 2nd Gen for 18-25k rather than new for 38-45 or whatever insane amount people pay haha.

That 20 grand will more than make up for the 1mpg difference in new generation gas mileage hahah.

My pig of a truck (6000lbs without me in it) gets about 14-15mpg on winter blend gas and I’ve seen nearly 20-21mpg on summer blend

I got about 14-15 with my old 2003 taco. My newer 2016 gets 18 and even better between 19 -20 on long trip. I put a cover on the bed, check tire pressure and try to be light on the accelerator and coast rather than brake hard. I warm up for about 10 seconds but with the new oils I wonder if I need to wait that long.

I let it warm up for about a 1or 2 min. and then drive slowly for about the first 1 or 2 minutes. Usually getting about 13l/100km in town and about 10l/100km highway. Averaging about 11.5 combined. 19-20can. gal, 27-28can/g high. Computer has it as high as 32-33can./g. Never been on a long run. Just had the TSB-0092-02 done, so not to sure what will show up, but seems to be shifting better but not sure with the down shifting going up hills since I live in the flat-lands.

My neighbor warms their cars up for 5-10 minutes in the summer on a 85f day. What a waste of fuel.

2019 OR LB stock with 250lb cap, currently about 14.5mpg avg for my commute. I get in start it up and go. I drive 6 miles each way. It gets warmed up on the commute. Winter blend and short trips will kill mileage. If I take an actually drive, mileage is around 18.5

Ok so sounds like you’re in a similar boat mileage wise. Are you lifted, levelled, stock tire size?
