FYI, the pro has a bit of lift stock with the Fox suspension. 285s rub, regardless of what you might have read. You can mitigate it by sticking to pavement and taking turns like my grandpa, but any steep parking lot entrances or off-roading means a cmc and trimming is in your future. Best of luck, most of us are here to help.

    The rest are dickbags.

I still rubbed on my 2018 pro with CMC on 285/75/16. I put Westcott on the front and icon RXT Leaf pack in the rear. No rubbing looks great and rides amazing with a little weight in the back.

First time poster, long time lurker! Just put Bfgoodrich KO2's 285/70/17 on the truck. Picture was before CMC. Could not make any sharp turn without rubbing!

I find that really interesting. I put a 2" OME lift on my 2021 with Dakar leaf packs & my 285's rub on the rear side of the front inner fenders when turning. They look great but I just can't have that rubbing.
On this pic I already have the mud flap removed.

OK, that did it. I'm going 285/70/17s on my Silver DCLB keeping my $runner Pro wheels. I want to keep my mud guards. Nice looking truck, well done!

I know someone earlier stated that all 285's will rub but I do not have rubbing either and no cutting done. It is close but I have yet to feel, hear, or visually detect any rubbing... now I will admit I have not gone rock climbing shoving my front wheel into the fender at full flex and trying to do a u-turn but for the off-roading I have done, steep drives, and some pretty nasty speed bumps so far so good.

Most of the rubbing I would get came from the suspension articulating into inclines off camber such as turning into a steep driveway or entrance from an angle, wheels at a 30 -45 degree angle from straight. I never rubbed going over anything straight ahead

Here's my clearance with a CMC and the tires are straight. I still need to shave a little more plastic.

285/70/17 Ridge Grapplers on SCS SR8 17x8.5 -10. Fox 2.5 set at ~1" lift, stock UCAs, Icon AAL. CMC and pinch welds done. Minor rubbing when turning out of my driveway; plastic trimming fixed that. Haven't tested full articulation yet, but that'll happen in a few months. Love the look and the stance. Not the best lighting in this pic. I'll try to remember to take some better pics and repost.

Ifnibdo 285/70/17 on my 4runner wheels I have to keep my oem mud guards. I'm sitting on 265/70/17s and there seems like a lot of room, were only talking about an inch wider and taller. I seriously don't think I will need a cmc done, thinking about toyo open country at3s sl rated this time in around.IMG_20200524_092207736.jpg

Man you're rubbing with the 5100? Is it the spacers? Let me know when you run the heat gun to the fender. I want to know how to do that haha. I've heard just hit it with a mallet but I don't want to take my tires off

How does the other side look with the same angle on the steering wheel, when the inside of the tire is closest to the wheel well? That's the side and angle I get rubbing.
