I got the same kit to make install when I put the OEM Audio + system a lot easier. I had no idea about the tools because I must have opened the box upside down. Thanks for the heads up on those!

i've always thought it'd be awesome if truck manufacturers would make the interiors totally wash and play. like neoprene seats, rhino line (or something similar) the floors (with drain plugs to wash out the dirt) and ceiling, make the dash and door panels sealed so they are waterproof or at least water resistant, and whatever else they could do to make a truck wash and play and have a cool rugged look... :D

I’m surprised someone doesn’t have a thread already showing how to make the interior “wash and play”. I imagine it could be done to some degree to a Tacoma.

I would like to have a truck with vinyl floors. Wipe it
i think that would be an option that would sell for those of us that use a truck for a truck.

I have found insulating the plastic door panels has improved bass response and reduced road noise.

    Agreed

even though we are a minority - who uses the Tacoma for a truck

    I would love that option

Well, found the problem. Made a stupid mistake while opening up the hole for the coax on the center console below the dash. I made the repairs to the wiring, but light is still on. Not sure if the controller was damaged or the light still may go out on it's own. Pretty sure dealer will say replace the entire harness at $1600 minimum parts cost, possibly controller too, plus labor.:mad::mad:
