+1 for White Knuckle. I know your mind is made up, but I figured I'd chime in for others who find this thread one day while searching for sliders options.

They are kind of local to me (about an hour's drive each way), so I ordered and picked up from their shop. The staff there is so amazingly friendly and nice. They even gave me a moving blanket to place on top of my Diamondback bed cover, because I didn't realize the sliders were too long to fit inside the bed and the guy didn't want me to scratch up my new cover. The sliders are built so well and look amazing. I went with the 15* angle but no top plates, as I like the bare look for wheeling (plus it keeps mud and crap from getting stuck up inside the bottom of them). But as others have said... drilling those 2 holes on each side was a pain. I already had a 1/2" cobalt drill bit from a previous project, which helped. I think it took me about 5 minutes per hole, spraying WD40 on the bit every 40 seconds or so to keep it nice and cool. 5 minutes may not seem like much until you're under the truck holding your arm at a weird angle while hot metal shavings are falling all over you. My arms were so sore afterwards, but I'd still recommend these over anything else, because I love them that much!

I've been looking at sliders for a while now....geezus....I'm one of those types that will beat something to death until I'm confident I'm making the best decision.... considering price, length, build quality, angle options (0,15), looks, ratings, wait, weight, powder coat protection during shipping and install vids, I've decided to go with White Knuckle. They kind of nail it for what I'm looking for.

Looks like they've been around forever and I haven't read a single bad thing about them..which is also the case for a few other mfrs.

The only thing I wish is that there were more images of these on Tacomas showing the differences between their 2 different angle options, which is why I appreciate you posting your pics. They look really good!

I would prefer full bolt on, but I can plan ahead for drilling so it's as easy as possible.. I also wonder if drilling, in general, is an indication of not sacrificing strength for the convenience of having holes already available. I have no idea though.

Same! I'm a newb when it comes to this stuff but seems like drilling holes in the frame would mess with the integrity, and possibly ruin the warranty...

... Side story, When I lived in Alaska, trucks were tough to find- even the rustiest thing on the island cost $1000. I bought an old chevy, the frame was so rusted it cracked in half, and the only thing holding the truck together was the bed leaning against the back of the cab. Was really sketchy to drive, I still took it mudding and all. Handed it off to the next poor soul a year later, I wonder if it's still going...

...would hate for something like that to happen to a nice Tacoma!

Hey JFanaselle ... where did you get that awesome truck bed cover from? I have a hand-me down from a buddy. Its a trifold softcover and works well for the moment. But yours with exterior tie-down points looks really nice. Also, like that its raised above the bed. Also does this bi-fold into the middle of the bed? or trifold up to the rear window? Thanks for sharing.

These are the sliders I'm looking for. Do they also stick out far enough to protect the doors from door dings?

I think so, unless you’re next to a lifted vehicle where the bottom of their door is above the sliders

If I pull the trigger, I'll definitely get the clear powdercoat to show off the welds.

That's pretty quick. I just sent them an email. I maybe in Arizona in mid Feb. I'll see if I can stop by to pick them up (and maybe get them to install it while I'm there). Thanks bro! Great looking truck. Here is my Cav Blue (but still using Predator steps).
