I'm looking for a good quality roof rail to fit Tyger TG-RK1B906B XL/68" x 41" x 8" Roof Cargo Basket for my Tacoma 2021 Limited.

Any suggestion for this -OR- what would you put instead? I dont have top rails so I need rails first and rack for it. Amazon suggests Tyger..

    Thanks guys

OP, there are a number of folks here that will tell you to use the search engine. But where is the fun in that? :).

I have a few more things to do to my truck (all pretty minor) and then I will be making a decision on the roof rack. So here are a few on my short list to get you started. Your preference will change based on budget, need, which design you like, etc. I don't know the Tyger basket but I think it will mount to most any roof bars -- which are different than a roof rack. For roof bars, you can look at Thule, Yakima and those products. Nothing wrong with a good set of roof bars, by the way.

But see if this list helps. These are more than roof bars ... you will then have to figure out how to attach your cargo basket. That's where I would indeed use the search engine as there are a lot of creative solutions here for there.

I’ve seen people mount baskets onto the OEM rack. I have the factory rack and don’t even use it

I've had good luck with Yakima. Sky box is good for ski trips. There stuff never seems to break.

From what I have read, there are a lot of knock offs of the OEM roof rack. Some people have them and they work just fine. Other people have them and have found the quality to be lacking. I've seen both sides but can't really confirm one way or another.

Here is an example of an OEM roof rack for $340 (but they can be found cheaper or sometimes even used as people upgrade their roof rack to something more robust):
    https://parts.toyota.com/p/Toyota__/Roof-Rack/70290669/PT27835170.html

Here is an example of a knock off. There are many on eBay for roughly $199:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fit-Toyota...?fits=Model:Tacoma|Make:Toyota&epid=655915024

There are some YouTube videos where people are installing these knock offs. Most of the time, they go well. I have heard sometimes the screws don't line up here and there.

For me, the price is close enough that I would rather have the OEM rack if I go down that path ...

    Hope that helps !

Is it possible to mount an ARB awning onto an OEM roof rack?

Aluminum is easy to cut with most woodworking tools, so you just have to design and mock up the support pieces using plywood. If you have a router you can just cut the aluminum sheet by tracing the mock up piece or use a jigsaw and file all the edges to get uniform. The cross bars are a standard extruded aluminum piece and bolt to the side pieces.

It really comes down to do you have the tools, ability to think up the design, $200 in materials, and want to spend a weekend building it. Or do you want to give a company $500 and be done with the process in 90 minutes.
