Was slow last week. Friday I heard was busy but I was off. Shop just closed tomorrow due to snow storm. Soooo looks like if open Tuesday, may have a Prius to work on. I see it busier by Wednesday once everyone is dug out.... always like a roller coaster ride in this business.
I’m probably going to have to help dad clean up the snow sometime tomorrow and maybe head to the shop to snow blow sidewalks.... usually nobody does them and there’s a busy wawa a block up so there’s always foot traffic that needs sidewalk cleaned.

Just a heads up, it may take a while (a few months) to figure out her thyroid medicine dosage. After my wife’s was removed and they figured out her dosage, things are back to normal for her. When my wife came out of surgery, she was ready to fight because they lost her hair band. (It was on her wrist the entire time!) Again, hope all goes well.

My wife has taken Synthroid for as long as I've known her and she said they've performed a bunch of thyroidectomys at work.

Best of luck to your wife, six. :)

Gotta love when the bolt has to come out, but it doesn't want to. And somebody already did you the courtesy of turning a 3/8 Allen into a 3/8 circle. B1A2E1C9-D39A-4CD2-AF5C-EBF4D858D59B.jpg

Thankfully the step I didn't have to go to was putting an end mill in a drill and drilling the center of those bolts out. Had to do that a couple weeks ago on very similar bolts.

We're not entirely sure how the operator managed to get that log where it is... but that was the second time tonight that a log ended up nearly touching the ceiling.

What you're looking at in this pic is the infeed log deck for one of our debarkers. In the back where that log is doing its best flag pole imitation, is a crossover deck to bring logs that are too large for the small debarker up to the infeed of the large debarker. The small debarker is the green structure in the bottom right, it can take up to a 17 inch log. Our large debarker can take up to a 24 inch log. The infeed log deck for the large debarker is outside the building, and the logs get fed through the wall up by that operator cab via a heavy drag chain.

The exact words that came over the radio when my coworker (in green) got there was "how the hell... banana you've gotta get over here and see this. Bring a chainsaw."2325B060-5BFB-4C7C-9E94-CF94442694CA.jpg

That log looks like it might have come through the roof, or bounced off of it. Wowzers..
