And @casercrowell we are all glad to see you were not hurt, but, I know it’s a piece of metal, but losing that Tacoma hurts. 3 - 4 years ago I had to look a long time for the “right” Tacoma I was looking for to replace the mistake I did when I sold my 2005. I had to go to another state to find it. Before I even went to look at it I purchased it. They just got it in. Yes, I did my homework first. I knew complete history and who the owner was. My wife keeps telling me I’m having an affair with my truck—-she maybe right. I spend more on my Tacoma than her. My wife thinks if this were to happen to my truck, I would have a meltdown. Good hunting in finding the “right” truck for you.

 

the plates are fill plates from a Prinsu rack and I had to get 2 bed bolts that were a little longer.

I secured the battery by adding a couple of these mounts to the side of the bed and running the strap through.


I used a Redarc smart battery isolator to isolate the auxiliary battery from main battery.

 

My Prius conversion is almost complete...

Added an Overland Solar 100w panel and Landstar Solar Charge Controller to help the auxiliary battery out.

 

ive honestly rationalized my soon to be purchased uptop roof rack for this specific reason.

Finally got around to ordering my rear bumper, trail gear from jegs

 

Has anyone tried swapping a 3rd gen frame onto a 2nd gen? I have frame failure on the Taco and welding it up is a stopgap. Thought I'd see if anyone has done it before.

 

Bored, took my sick jigsaw to front bumper corners because this bumper is trashed and I’m going to have Joe build me a high & tight bumper someday soon Anyway. Just a lil snip

 

Sprayed some pigment today. Getting ready to update a few more things...

 

i don’t know how effective it’ll actually be at keeping the battery topped off while running the fridge but I had it so why not. I’ll test it out on the next sunny day we get to see if it exceeds the draw.

 

Changed the oil, oil filter, and air filter today. Learned that I need a deeper oil pan since the oil comes out straight down and splashes everywhere.

 

Might need to grab some or I’ll just use zip ties

It is a very modest start, but I put in a tool box.

 

I added a jvc head unit to get CarPlay. I added a camera from tailgate camera.com I upgraded the tail lights to the led ones. I swapped out the interior light to led. I added fog lights. Added a bug guard and vent visors also swapped out the head lights to led bulbs. It was a busy weekend. I’ll add pics in the morning
