not on the fly, I haven’t studied into tuning enough to be able to do it like the shock companies can. But if you got the specs or custom ordered the valve stacks, I could install them for you. Might be able to get it from accutune.

This is what my king coilovers look like taken apart. All of the gold shims in this picture make up the rebound and compression valve stacks that sit on either side of the piston and control how the shock fluid moves through it via bleed holes. Changing this is basically what tubes a shock. There are other factors that come into play, such as the nitrogen pressure as well.

I didn’t know you could order just the shim stacks for a specific tune, that’s good to know. Mine are riding much better since I added weight. I think I was oversprung and the shocks weren’t getting a say in much. Will probably wait and tune when it’s time for a rebuild.

Hey guys running the bigger tires, I need your advice on UCAs. What kind do y'all recommend. I'm looking at SPC but the tuning before install might be over my head, or going with JBA or Total Chaos. My alignment numbers are barely in speck so I think I only need a couple of degrees to allow everything to get back into better driving alignment.

I’ve got SPC and can’t complain except for the upper ball joints seem to wear out quickly if you wheel hard

JBA cheap and really good. Also you can use 3/4 ton Chevy ball joints if you break one to get ya home. Lastly replacement ball joints from JBA are cheap compared to their competitors. The ball joints last longer than uniballs and are better for onroad use.

Uniballs ran for four years on my truck and I beat the crap out of them. I have ran both ball joint and Uniball and I can't really say I really prefer one over the other.

I was speaking on averages. My balljoint UCAs from Icon didn't last as long as they should have. Not that uniballs are bad

I’m running dirt kings with ball joints. https://dirtkingfabrication.com/products/ball-joint-upper-control-arms-dk-811901
These are perfect for a pre-runner. They don’t have quite as much travel as uniballs but the price is right, and they don’t squeak like a rusty gate. Plus it’s a MOOG ball joint that you can get at any parts store when they wear out.

I like my JBAs, but they have an issue with their boots prematurely deteriorating now. Replacements are supposed to be in mid February. Mine haven’t failed yet, but started getting alligator cracks after a month. Not a deal breaker, but I’d ask him before purchasing to clarify.

I hear pros and cons for both, I don't really prefer one over the other. I don't know which one I would get if I had never bought any of them.

I’m not saying 100% that someone will sell just the stack, but they might

maybe they can guide you in the right direction with these.
