Nephew bought a house.

 

I was going for forest ranger dice but these are giving me patriotic Statue of Liberty vibes

A friend of mine was having trouble with hawks going after his chickens so he put up a bunch of birdhouses. The sparrows all flock up and drive the hawks away.

 

It’s been so long since I lived in Ohio I forgot if there were big hawks or not. I think I only remember smaller falcons.

 

That's an awesome idea. A friend of mine uses to use solar lights to keep foxes away. Says they avoid them because they think it's fire. My parent's chickens stay up in a big shade tree with a sheet metal collar to keep predators from climbing it. They wouldn't go into the coop anymore after their dog got in and had his fill...

 

More bean commissions I want to make some pretty dice, haha

 

What's the deal with all the bean commissioned dice? Just curious, I've watched this thread and like your dice. I think the liberty style are pretty cool. Did you first play around with the beans and someone liked it then took off? Like I said just curious. I don't smoke weed anymore but I'm sure some of my friends/coworkers would be fascinated by marijuana dice lol

 

If I had those 25 years ago when I was playing a weekly game while stationed in Korea, I would be the envy of all. Our DM was a sticker for realism, so my character had a non-weapon specialty of “eating.” I was playing a half-ogre, and he’d have to eat constantly to keep his strength up. It had become part of the game so much that other characters assisted in keeping “Bob” fed.

Those dice would have beyond cool.

It actually started because I'm in a dice makers discord and there are a lot of large names in there who make tons per set, one of them got a request for Spaghettios and they turned it down. I asked to pick it up but I was new and I think they didn't want to refer a new maker to a customer. I made the dice anyways and they put me in contact with the original commissioner. Once I threw them on my social media I started getting more food requests, so I've kinda been typecasted into "cursed foods" a bit. But I had someone commission me for baked bean dice after that, and now they're a made-to-order item on my etsy shop and people want them.

It's more of a meme kinda thing, but baked bean dice are a somewhat common odd request. There's one person in the community who literally only makes bean dice as their entire business. Baked beans, dry beans in clear resin, dried corn kernels in resin, that's what they do. People are just odd, haha.

But yeah, they were a commission before anything was ever made. Now, however, I do make various "cursed foods" because they get a lot of engagement on my Instagram. My last set was cottage cheese dice.

Marijuana dice are in my little book of plans; I know how people are about their weed culture, so it's definitely a market I want to tap into, but I'm still considering how I want to go about making them.

 

Well thata a story for sure. I was really curious on who wanted beans in their dice.

With the weed though... in my opinion it would be cool to fit the very top of the bud like topping a Christmas tree but what do I know. I have no clue if there is enough room and such (in the die).
