Finished reinstall. It’s freaking COLD out there. And I’ve got Covid. This took all my energy today.

Finally got around to installing the free Panasonic headunit that a coworker gave me last year.

Now I need a day with decent weather so my friend can help me re-wire all of the speakers. The previous owner’s wiring job was not the best.

Installed my new headlights. These are the Morimoto Sealed6 headlights that they sell on TheRetrofitSource. I was looking at doing a projector retrofit into the sealed beam housings and then came across these. They don’t look as simple as retrofits, but for the price it was hard to pass up.

Edit: to add better photos that I took today

Finally took my Shittybilt roof rack off today, rarely use it much and the wind noise/rattling has bothered me almost since day 1. And it's high profile made the wind resistance on the highway pretty bad.

Looks much cleaner without it, had to leave the mounts on for now because I'll need to patch the holes when they come off. Which will be the real fun part.

    No rack

The lights I had mounted to it were junk too, happy to finally get rid of those.

Got some trim restore and went over all the plastics on the truck. Problem is now I see all the little difference in texture on the plastic. Anyone know if you can buff it out so the whole part looks the same?

i use a heat gun to heat plastic trim back to color,,,, if you try it, just watch the plastic and move with the color change.

Replaced a shockmount. First time welding in about 15 years, but it’s coming back.

I'd say keep going. I don't think you've got enough product soaked in yet.
after & before on my Tundra's rear bumper. But only a couple coats.
    20200901_191439.jpg

Here is a mudflap before & after many coats. A couple coats makes it better, but don't stop too soon.
    20200621_111818 (2).jpg 20200712_180610.jpg
No final picture, but this flap needed another 3 treatments to get uniform coloration.
