There are always pluses and minuses. I just suggest JBAs for pretty much everyone with a mid travel for the reasons of ease of repair, cheapness of repair, and ability to source parts.
I bet that you can go and get a moog boot, the blue ones and that'll solve it. Mine are perfectly fine.

Uniballs are a little harder to change but the Uniballs are pretty easy to find and about the same price now, actually a little cheaper. The initial price of the UCA purchase is more though.

All of the other UCA with ball joints out there are just as hard or harder to change than uniballs as well. JBA is by far the simplest and yes Uniballs are pretty cheap and you can get all different levels of quality with them.

Yep that is why I say I wouldn't know which one I would buy if I had to buy again.

I got a new set for $45 each, look to be the same as Total Chaos, they have the same numbers. I hope they last as long

This is why I say if you want a balljoint one JBA if you want uniball well any other brand UCA is good it seems. FK is like the top of the line when it comes to heims and uniballs they also have a tremendous selection from some really slick high speed stuff to basic get you running cheap.

You also gotta look at the majority of people getting into this. You and I don't mind tearing down the truck and fixing or doing lots of maintenance and can do a lot of it. A lot of guys though mechanically inclined pressing in and out uniballs or ball joints or needing specialty tools for such may be over their head. You can't get much simpler than a nut and 4 bolts to change a balljoint. For the avg joe that's big and it won't take them near as long as trying to think through the potential hiccups you may get having to press a joint in and out.

Less than a month after install. I’ve emailed them and they know about it and are supposed to receive corrected boots from their supplier around mid February.

That's good. They seem pretty on top of issues when they arise like this from what I've seen.

Hey guys, newer member here. Couple quick questions...

I’m looking to get some sliders in the near future, have y’all found any companies semi local that build or any companies that make them reasonably close, I live the offerings of the ones made out on the left coast, but don’t want to drop an additional 2-3 hundred in shipping.

What are y’all main trail comms? Mostly CB?

I want to try and get on some of the rides coming up and meet some of y’all.

    I’m in Southside by Gadsden.

Welcome aboard. I know @Jerneyman is making sliders again in Madison. He is on here from time to time still or I can put you in touch.
Not sure on the comms, I believe CB.
There are a few of us meeting at Stoney Lonesome OHV (just outside of Culman) next weekend to go ride if you want to meet up.

How rough are the trails there, I was kinda planning on sticking to the easier stuff until I get at least sliders put on.
