No the police didn't come. I didn't damage the pole "poll" and I do pay for my own insurance. I really wasn't going all that fast, It was just a bad combo of having a lack of weight in the back and turning a corner on to sheer ice.

First off here's the body damage. Not to worried about this.

    hx7u5x_da4d16ae356322d04f4778e03c4a59e98225ac72.jpg

Now here's a picture of the toe in.
    34oojfk_a60146d06a093b38b70dd214a4ef0fb752cf77a3.jpg

After removing the tires/wheels it looked like the knuckle assembly was bent.

here's a pic of the driver side (non crash side)
    i2vode_cc142a40da37ec44fc43519aa833317b22247d95.jpg

And the passenger side (crash side)
    k1crj6_4c7eeb2fb37537589dee6d352ae45bdccb1950b1.jpg

Would this bend cause the wheel to have extreme toe-in?

And some random pics of the crash side CV

I plan on just buying salvage parts and fixing it back to stock, and then upgrading to a better lift/suspension setup.

looks like most of the issue is the lower control arm and spindle. both of them are definitely bent. that will caust your alignment to look like it does as well as the cv axle to be as it is.

X2 But don't forget to check your hood and all the mounting points for the fender. Replacement on the fender should be reasonable but don't forget the brackets.

Good for you on paying for your own insurance/repairs. Glad no one was hurt and your ok.

DRIVE SAFE.........and put some damn weight in the bed.....get a Shurtrax...... I love mine and we have a ton of snow

Thanks, and I plan on going with those fiberglass flares that the long traveled trucks run. I think there $300 for a set.

it looks bent right here to me, but it may be a slight bend in the entire thing. and if your not long travel the fiberglass fenders are gonna look kinda goofy. imo. you should get a good set of bush whacker flares.23jpc1x_45c8b2e9fe375391b853085da3e1ae030c1a9fd2.jpg

Ok, I took off my spindle, cv and lower control arm and order the new ones. Should be in a few days after Christmas. One more question tho how do I fix my steering issue?

Once the new parts are on, you're going to need an alignment. You may also want to check your tie rods and make sure they aren't messed up.

SAS will cost you a ton, and you will need alot of down time for your taco

you will need a new front D-shaft, if youre doing the cheap way a Dana 44 axle with flat top knuckles preferred, a SAS kit (about 2k itself), you will need to regear, if youre gonne do tons expect to pay 1300 in axles itself.

It also takes an extreme amount of fabrication, and an SAS'd truck does not drive the same at all

As for parts check your CV, youre Rack and pinion, and Tie rods, they may be bent or broken, also check to see if the CV could have jammed itself in the front diff

I wasn't particularly worried about the cost of the SAS but the down time like you mentioned. I got the CV out without a problem but it almost looks bent to me. There aren't any broken parts that I can see. It's hard to tell if the tie rods are bent or not but they seem fine. BTW nice Truck

The lower control arm came in today, now just have to wait for the spindle assembly. Might Upgrade my shocks while I'm at it...

WOW! Must have had alot of tweaking to get it just right. Got the LCA in today and the spindles arrival date is tomorrow. We'll see what happens.
