Am I a poser if I put TRD wheels on my PreRunner

I'm always skeptical when buying off Craigslist but this looks like a good deal? idk

Only the most decerning individuals would even know those aren't the stock wheels, and even fewer probably care.

Those that do are just mad they paid too kuch for the exclusivity and aren't getting the recognition they thought they would for it.

It's all just marketing wank anyways.

If you like them get them.

But know "mesh" wheels are a pain to keep clean.

Who gives a shit. I once worked on a 2wd Chevy Silverado 1500 that had 10 inches of lift. Was it practical? Fuck know. Did it look bad ass. Only kinda. But you do what makes you happy bro. Get dem wheels.

 

Hell no you aren’t a poser! TRD Pro parts are designed for our trucks. Make sure you get the wheel specific TRD lug nuts.

 

I would make sure the rims are oem and not knockoffs, but it's your truck they'll look great!

 

This is a good point, there’s a lot of knock off rims out there. I have the black TRD pros on my Tacoma and I love them. The rims in the pics in the Craigslist posting look a little too shiny, my pros are more of a matte sheen than glossy. Here’s a picture of mine that I got from a Toyota dealership:

I have the pro bronze wheels and they look better than any other rims I’ve seen. If you like it get it.

 

Prerunners have been railing it in the Baja 1000 for years, I'd say you can do what you want.
