AMC looking decent in the premarket this morning

 

In for a daytrade on $AGQ on that dip. 2x leveraged etf.

 

Quick question cause I can’t find what I need by googling

I want to set a trailing stop SELL order on TD Ameritrade app.

let’s just say this. If I want it to sell at say $6 and up BUT if it hits $6 and keeps climbing obviously I wouldn’t want it to sell and just keep moving the sell price up.

how do I set this up or is trailing stop limit order the wrong thing I should be looking for??

 

What price did you get in on?

 

Yes, a Trailing Stop is what you want to set for that. Typically you can set it for a certain fixed $ below market price, or a % below - and it'll keep following it up.

What you can't do AFAIK is set it up to automatically create the trailing stop after reaching a set price like $6. It'd be set beginning at the current market price -- and if there's sufficient volatility it could get triggered and pop you out of the stock lower than you anticipated.

You don't. The hedge funds are going broke because of GME. They're trying to spike the price of silver, so that they can sell their shares and afford to buy as much GME as they can and get out of this situation that will likely bankrupt them if they don't. Don't help them. Silver is a rare metal. You don't short rare metals because it's virtually impossible to bankrupt them.

 

Completely normal. I had that with XOM on TD Ameritrade months ago. I bought at ~35$ and decided "I want to 'automate' my investing, I'll do a limit sale of 70 when I want to sell it", and TD didn't let me. This is not new nor unique to RH. RH has shenanigans, BUT this is not one of them.

They are not. They were independent of this short squeeze boom. I was actually reading up and that's why I bought those calls a few weeks back, and then now they're just trending on Reddit because they had a good day. Basically if any stock has a good day now, WSB thinks it is them doing it. BCLI could get FDA approval on something and skyrocket, WSB would post rockets and claim responsibility and that it's "sticking it to the man" in doing so. This is all GME, the others are a side show, and potentially even pumped in relation to GME so that RH et. al. can limit trades on a broad range of stocks and claim "it wasn't just to isolate GME guys!", etc.

 

Silver trends more with industry than gold. Silver has a lot more of an industrial presence than gold does, so silver actually does hold some ups and downs related to industrial ups and downs, where as gold has a lot less of a pull from industrial applications. Not as much as say copper, platinum, etc but silver is somewhere in between those.

I think AMC is in the same boat as GME, a much smaller boat, but still in the same ocean. The rest not so much. I jumped on NOK and NAKD and lost on both. Luckily NAKD just spiked at open so I jumped out for a small gain. If NOK goes up atall and I can get back to even I will sell. I will buy AMC dips and park the rest in DOGE for now.
