We had a huge beech in my side yard cut down a few weeks ago, sits to the right of the driveway. That trunk has to be 24" around and was at least 50 feet tall. It forked up around 12 feet from the ground and had so many limbs from there it was a Halloween tree

Anyone wanting free firewood I have 75 acres I'm slowly cleaning up and there are a ton of down trees and dead standing ones. I also have a decent number of large cherries I want down.

Most entire property is accessible in 4wd. I don’t even care if you come get it and sell it. I just want it gone and it’s enough that I’ll never get to it myself before more falls and it adds up again

Where are you? I would definitely be interested but can’t get from out of state in RI. Don’t want to have easy pickings for a state trooper seeing me come through fully loaded on 95

just cleared up my driveway as best I could. Some ice out there. It is what it is, guess I’ll be spending some time clearing snow tomorrow :(

If you don't mind, shoot me a message where you're at. If you're close enough, my dad and his neighbor (the guys helping clear that lot out) might be game, not sure how close you are to them though. They're in NY, north of Albany and a little east, not far from the MA border. Might be a little too far for them and I think they both got 5-6 years worth of firewood from that guy's lot!

call local smoke house restaurants and barbecue teams and whatnot. Free cherry wood they’d probably jump on that.

    I'm in mass!

I'm right on the edge myself. 45 minutes from Albany. I'll send you the address.

I know some caterers that get mushrooms and rants out of the woods, probably should mention they can take cherries as well, they do a lot of open fire.

Cherry is good wood for pork.

damn. I guess I’ll have to keep bumming around Craigslist and Facebook in the summer for firewood. Hoping to rig up a wood stove in my fireplace this year finally. Just need to find like the smallest wood stove known to man.

I spent most today cutting up cherry. Guy dropped 3 good sized ones, ended up filling most of the trailer. The rest is mostly oak with some maple mixed in. My dad will burn through any hard woods, he’s not picky.

I got your PM, i’ll run it by him and see if he’s up for it, thank you!

Disassembling/raising coilovers and cutting/trimming for 33s in the single digit temps. My neighbors really wonder about me sometimes

in college my Jeep rear window actuator cable snapped. It was late October. In northern Maine. I just needed the window to stay closed.

so....I popped the trim off and hooked a cam strap to the window shelf, and then needed some way to hold it up. I was going to initially just run it around the outside but then i realized....clothes hanger hook! So hooked it to that instead. Closed the door. Pulled strap. Window closed. Done. Wasn’t dealing with that cold weather bullshit.

    “I’ll fix it sometime soon”.

I was broke and cold. I waited until June to fix that and a leaking radiator.

    it passed inspection....

I just scoot my butt through the snow like a dog. Saves trees and soothes a sore butthole.

Thank goodness! It originally looked like it wasn't going to head north, but this is a map I like better.

Fish or shrimp tacos FTW. Gotta think on your feet at the grocery store sometimes! Which, coincidentally, is why my wife doesn't let me go to the grocery store unless it's an emergency...
