Oh man, I remember getting stuck on 84 overnight during a snowstorm because the empty trucks couldn't climb the grades out by fishkill. Me and 2 of my buds going stir crazy in my Subaru for 14 hours lmao

 

I was literally just talking to my coworkers, I saw a sign saying "TT Ban" but it didn't say what it was. I was thinking "Temporary Travel Ban" but there were tons of people on the highway...

Day job closed. So by working from home I'm missing a day off. Damned, just cannot catch a break.

Roads are a mess here. They keep changing the estimated totals... went from 14-21" down to 8-13" (which is still a bunch of snow), but now they're saying wintry mix and the possibility of ice... no thanks...

Guys, how hard is it to replace an idler on a 2nd Gen V6? I'm almost positive Idler #2 in the top right is what's bad. I got a mechanic's stethoscope and it sounds like there's crushed glass in there. Even the sound in the cab make me feel like it's about to explode. Do I just move the tensioner to give slack, and replace the bolt in the center of the idler

Edit: And can I get to the tensioner from the top? My skid plate is a bitch to get on and off. I know I'm being lazy but I'm not going outside to look myself right now lol

Second Edit: It does seem as easy as locking the tensioner, and just the single center bolt. If I can do it from the top is yet to be determined... Anyone have a garage they want to let me use? I don't want to do this outside lol

 

I have heated seats now and had them in my audi before this, im never going back you can't make me

Should be just loosening the tensioner and swapping the bolt

 

Shoveled the driveway twice already. Don't want to have 5 feet of ice a the foot of our driveway from the town plow trucks.
