Help me decide please!

So for Christmas I'am ordering the light bar from avid offroad for myself. My parents said they will purchase the sliders or step rails for me for Christmas so I can get the combo package price. I have looked at endless threads and can not for the life of me decide if I want the sliders or the step rails on my truck....Please help!

Here is my truck. It has a 3 inch lift on it and BFG's right now. I dont do extreme rock crawling, just the occasional trails. The only differnce is I think I'am getting Duratracs the next time around.

 

Get sliders. You will be glad you did when you make a mistake on the trail, even if its a pretty easy trail, shit happens.

PS: Sliders also prevent fat chicks from entering your vehicle... step rails help them. Your choice. (Please note, previous comment is not original, and the originator is responsible for all mental aggravation it may cause).

 

sliders sound like a better choice, I have the steps on mine and never use them

 

Im partial to sliders myself because I have them. I think they look much cleaner and protect from door dings and other parking lot damages too. Plus the ability to use a hilift too is awesome

I'am leaning towards the sliders too...It's just so hard to decide because both of them look great.

 

Sliders, you can use them as steps also if needed.

 

Does Avid make sliders for the Dbl Cab Long Bed? I have been waiting to see a design from BeefedTaco for this Tacoma model. If you look underneath the truck, the leaf spring gets in the way of where the slider would attach to the frame. I dont see to many sliders for the double cab long bed. It seems like the design of the truck will make it pretty tricky to do.

 

Once you go to check out with Avid it has an option for the DC that is an extra $30...I just checked it...the option is DC long bed

 

Also weigh in weight...... My Nfab steps weigh next to nothing,look nice,and makes it easier for the shorter passengers to get in. If you're not doing extreme off road why carry the extra weight around. More weight= less MPG. Unless that isn't a concern.

Get some sliders that come out far enough to use as a step..and you can use a hi lift!

 

I have been looking at the NFab too. The reason I choose the Avid is because I want it to match the Avid front light bar. Unless they are not differnt enough to beable to notice.

 

You've got a sweet truck!! .. whatever you get will look great..and hey if for some reason you dont like it down the road maybe someone on here will want it.

 

use the Hi Lift...to help the fat dudes getting in the truck? j/k

Haha no apology needed. I think in going with the sliders. If you order the sliders and light bar together...you save $130....pretty good deal!
