Hang in there everyone, I do love snow but I do not miss your wet and heavy stuff. Most of what we get I can use a push broom to sweep the decks, steps and patio, the drive is where I have to use the plow and shovel's.

They are warning the SW of the state on the next big storm for Thursday - which will hit you likely Monday of next week. Winter is here, I was hoping it would hit us as we need it bad.

You all do realize that God made Florida so retired folks don’t have to shovel snow.

All you guys bragging about your snow...
I need you to know that California didn't get away scot free either. When the storm came through here, the wind blew debris into the pool so bad it clogged up my pool sweep.
    Hate when that happens.:annoyed:

You guys have your snow, all we have is a lot of rain. I got tired of the rain the other day, so I drove 10 minutes to sunny skies.

I tried to clean just the turn-around, between squalls. No brooming this crap, there's like 3 different layers.. ice, slush, and a frozen mixture of both. There's been zero time in between events to even get an armload of firewood in! :annoyed:

Oh well, I'll just browse the net.. I have oil pan heaters on THAT dish. The beach sure looks good right about now.

That’s why I like the beach. Self cleaning. And when it gets cold there’s always the wet suit.

Self cleaning by that grey water off the mainland? Needles, cigarette butts, plastic, oil spills, rubber tires, dead whales, raw sewage, the list goes on...
Now, if you're talking about the South Pacific, that's a whole different story!

A little something every chance we get.
Afternoon everyone! I saw with great interest the beautiful snow storm in the North East! Seems many of you are quite busy. Sunny and 66* today, but will get almost to freezing overnight. Then sunny and warmer the rest of the week! As Texas should be!

Stayed up too late for a change watching a movie. That's pretty rare, but I did anyway. This morning was chilly, and I really wanted to go back to bed, so I did! Then we had some nice breakfast tacos, and I had a nice nap. Plan was to pay bills, and just do nothing.

Well, it's hard to do nothing.
I paid my bills for the month on line. That worked.
Waited until afternoon to go to Walgreens, got in line at the drive thru for Rx. Got to the window in time for them to close at lunch.
Decided I should run the RAV through the car wash, being all dusty. Got in line there too.
Got home, and went to do something simple in the garage, and we had lost all internet, so no music.
Changed my mind, got my little firewood rack for the smoker, an aged piece of ceiling tin (because OF COURSE I had a piece still), and hammered the crap out of it until it fit over the rack with no edges to cut me. Have to get some hinges tomorrow.....

Proof of said hammering. Tomorrow, I'll just plan on doing stuff.

Nope, just sitting here watching it come down. No point in getting out until it's done. We have probably 2 feet here and more is falling.

    Evening all:
We're at 19" and counting, my driveway can be a PITB but the people in town really get a workout digging out cars, parking spots, and garage access after the plow trucks really pile up the snow as they clear roads.
