PSA: good deal on chains

Heyo. For those venturing into the snow, in addition to your gucci traction boards, here is a good deal I found for chains. There seems to be a taboo against having them in our community, no idea why. I made the leap...Traction boards are 1.5x more expensive. They obviously also have a use case, are 10x faster to deploy, but there are situations where chains will save you.

EDIT: left out an important piece of info. I run 285/75-17, so that's obviously the fitment I searched for on that peerlesschain website. Sort of a non-standard size so there weren't a ton of options.

 

To be honest? While I have a set they're not fun to put on in deep snow, and it means I've already lost traction with my aired down snow rated tires, thus I'd likely want a different plan than chain up.

 

exactly, it's sort of like 4wd, you need to be proactive and install before you really need it. It's pretty simple and straightforward while offroading in the winter though. If I'm going up a forest road in the mountains. I know the snow is going to keep getting deeper so I stop at the snow line and put them on.

I have a set of Super Z for the Taco. They work pretty damn well and are stupid easy to put on. Made driving my 2wd with full time locker and zero rear weight much easier.
