Hey no problem man I'm glad that I found Sherpa equipment Co I definitely think they are superior to the prinsu racks in my opinion they come with all the gaskets to waterproof it no silicone needed the customer service is exceptional also their beefier and thicker than any other roof rack I've seen to this day they also have a lot of integrated stuff that you can buy additionally brackets light brackets so forth like that if you plan on going with one of their roof racks get the Baja combo that they offer get in Amber you won't regret it

I forgot to mention if you're going to get a Baja remember you have a DRL function so when I ran the wiring down the window seal I ran three 18 gauge wires one positive negative and then a green triggering one for the DRL. Easy!

I'm kinda OCD about my truck so the possible prinsu leak worried me a bit which caused me to hold off. I dont want to worry about keeping an eye on the silicone every winter. The rubber mounting feet on this rack takes care of that.

Yes I'm going amber. You're video made the decision easy for me. I'm going for the rock lights as well. You'll see a copy cat in a few months when it all comes together.

Awesome thanks! My rails look pretty flat (ARE CX). Looking forward to learning more about these. I'll probably wait to order until I know what I want exactly. Still not sure if I want to mess with painting aluminum or just pay the money for powder coat. MGM and bare aluminum might look okay together but not sure.

I have a CX and I suppose it depends on what rails are on your topper already. I have a Prorack and after a lot of time trying to figure out what one i needed I am pretty sure its the contoured but it might be different if you have like thule or Yakima rails.

I have Yakima rails. I think the only difference is the mounts so worst case if we guess wrong, I'm sure its easy enough to get the correct mounts.

This is what the website shows for flat vs. contoured.

My rack is done, just need to go pick it up. Stoked to finally get it mounted. Anyone have any pics of the mounts for the lightbar? What widths are you all getting for the best fit?

Baja s8. Depending if you ordered the rack/combo with them and the brand they provide you the mounting brackets. If not they sell three different types

I just got mine last week and now I am having issues mounting it. I got the Crows Nest for my topper and I have Prorack rails on there currently and they don't look like they will work with the sherpa. :annoyed:
