After a warranty repair on my heater whereby the dealer had to disassemble part of the dash, the radio now stays illuminated at 100% when I turn it on. The dimmer rheostat has no effect on it, but all other switches/instruments dim properly. Any ideas?

I have no confidence in them... numerous problems with their work.

    thanks on both counts!

I'm thinking there's a connector unplugged or loose somewhere in the dash wiring harness betwixt the rheostat and radio head. Wanted opinions/ideas before I start taking things apart.

    BUILT, not bought...
if you take it apart, might be a good time to change out colored LED's if you dont like the reddish-orange.

I beleive there is one wire that is designated for the lights on radio. If you go behind the radio and make sure all the plugs are in back of the radio properly it Should work fine.

    Acht!

We're getting warmer. I'll pull the head and have a look-see. The LED swap-out idea is a good one, too. Orange is not one of my favorite colors.

    Thx.
