Yeah, I know a guy who has his truck in his name but under his mother’s insurance since no insurance company will cover him (at least not for a reasonable price) after some events took place

Didn't quote the full thing for obvious reasons. I hope his name and address are on the policy, or that's fraud. Rates in the state fluctuate depending on the town/city the vehicle is registered in

If he is listed as a driver under his mother's policy there is nothing wrong with that.

He can’t get his own insurance because he totaled a cop car while drunk driving. No insurance company will touch him. So he’s a driver on his mother’s insurance

If anyone local wants a good deal, selling my snomaster TR42S for $500. It's too tall w/ the decked system I just installed. I have a tembo tusk fridge slide w/ slide out cutting board too for $300. It's like over $2k worth of shit for $800.

it’s tempting. I’ve wanted a slide for years, but have never been sure if I would do drawers and need a slide that tilts too (alu cab). I’ve been on the fence about a decked system for years too lol. I’ll think it over and let you know.

Gentlemen. I’m up in MA and have been searching for a 4Runner to replace my current 99 Limited. Is anybody here local to DCH Brunswick Toyota? Know anything good or bad about them? I’m looking at a 2019 OR Premium but won’t be able to get down there in the next day or two if somebody can help out.

    Cheers

Can you confirm the dimensions where the fridge sits? And it looks like the cutting board is clean? Not stained with fish guts or something lol? And it looks like the powder coat chipped off and there’s some surface rust above the tempo tusk logo, but otherwise looks good? And it’s slide, cutting board assembly, and straps?

    thanks

my BIL used to work at DCH freehold. They’re a shitty company to work for, but he said they were usually more willing to make a deal than the family owned dealerships.

Yeah, I'll measure it tonight when I go back out to the garage to shovel. But yes, to everything else. I won't say the cutting board never has fish guts on it before but it is clean. And yeah, some of the powder coast flaked off but nothing a quick shot of rattle can won't fix. I've also got some ARB straps I can give you if you need them.

It'll fit your ARB, that's the last fridge I had. I'm in Marlboro. I can be pretty flexible throughout the week. I've got it bolted to a carpeted piece of plywood, not sure if you want that with it?

Doesn’t matter to me. Leave it if you don’t feel like removing it, or keep it if you want it.
I have to go to my father in laws house in matawan for dinner on Thursday. I could stop by on my way there if that works?

I’ll pm you my phone #

This might be a longshot, but any night owls who can do recovery in the Sayreville area? I have a friend who has been stuck out there for a few hours. I think he's in an older Corolla.
I haven't heard anything from him in the past half hour though, so idk if he's getting help or his phone died or what but I figured I'd see if anyone was up with nothing to do at this hour.

I'm up working, but not near there.

Let us know if he gets out. I’m sure someone would be willing to help during the day.

Thanks! Still haven't heard from him, hoping he's doing alright.

Edit: He made it to work; his bumper is all fucked up and his car is probably going to be stuck there for the time being but he's safe

    Interesting vehicle choice...

Had a Dodge Dart get stuck across the street in the snow. Was going to help yank them out till I realized there were no recovery points. In the end we used rubber mats, shoveling, pushing to get it out.

My Corolla hasn't failed me in the snow yet. Especially my 9th gen; it has pretty decent ground clearance, but I'm sure if I got stuck I'd be super screwed.

Dude knows nothing about cars and didn't explain the situation well. The pictures I got after indicated more "I slid into a curb" than getting stuck in the snow, lmao.
Front of the bumper shattered, fender liner bent in half on the passenger side, the plastic shielding underneath ripped off. It wasn't pretty haha, but he got to work and home. When I posted in here he said he had been stuck a few hours, and dude can't afford a tow so.

Couple years ago we had a really bad storm and we had to venture out unfortunately. We were stopped at a light on a downhill slope and this kid prob about my age in an eclipse came flying up and luckily decided to hit the ditch instead of the truck. We only had the Taco for about a month so we didn't have a good tow strap yet. Had to dig our way under his car and we tried to pull him out with what we had but it snapped. Luckily his car was completely off the road and his place was close by.
