I’m fairly certain they will find a way to fuck us. The liquidity is gone. THAT’S why they’re limiting shares. You know along with trying to stop the buys to halt the ladder shorts.

It's going to remain boring until the shorts get called in at this point. Then the hedge funds will have to buy at what ever the price is. Then is when the expected rocketship is expected to launch. Now it's just a matter of holding until then.

How the hell are people under 50 supposed to buy shares? It can only be done on a phone app with the slickest interface!

In seriousness, it's not entirely clear what effect the limitations on smaller/some brokerages are having, but when you designate 3 lanes out of a 4 lane road to go one direction, traffic going the other way slows to a crawl.

They have bought themselves time with this move. Will time be enough? Possibly, we shall see.

 

RH upped the buy limit to 20

limits are on RH...maybe a couple others? but the others may have removed those...
TD ameritrade is open, but increased margin requirements.

Problem is a lot of GME share/options holders were in RH. And if they're limiting, then it's not easy/quick to move your money/trades elsewhere.
Not to mention, whatever else you have in that account is used as collateral for margin/options trading...so now the retail investor needs to come up with even more money to try to get into the game...

No one knows. Depends on how long it takes long positions to lock up enough float, assuming they ever do. If they don't and retail remains a stubborn hold, the price could yo-yo in the 200-400 range for *months* because with such low volume it would take the shorts weeks to cover instead of days and the price would spike when they attempted to do it, quite possibly sparking renewed interest.

A longer timeline does concern me a bit, as I've mentioned before, because our way over-stimulated society gets bored of things within days to a week. If this drags on, people will go back to masturbating and looking for the next Gangnam Style and this will all simply fizzle out months from now. I have a sneaking suspicion that may be the shorts general strategy. Drag it out and make it boring.
