I don't remember how to get the fuelly info into the signature. It was pretty easy though. Just search around and some useful information should appear.

 

Haven’t been driving my Tacoma lately but I took it out for a rip last night. Peaked at 9.3psi. Love the cooler winter temps!

 

Anyone have experience regearing an auto with the SC? I’m adding 33s tomorrow and looking at either 4.88 or 5.29s. I’m worried the rpms may be too high on the interstate with the 529s but that’s we’re the calculation is pointing to. Thanks

 

I have an automatic, suupercharger and 33" mud terrains and my truck is decently heavy.

I've had 4.88's for about 1500 miles. I like it a lot.

There are a lot of times where 5.29's would be better but I'm happy with 4.88's.

 

Thanks for the real world example. That’s the fence I’m on. Is it better to have lower and want higher sometimes or the other way around. Only I can answer it but appreciate the input.

 

Yeah, I’d probably be happy with 5.29’s as well because my truck is 5700 pounds.

But my average weekend trip usually involves at least a few hundred highway miles which lends itself to 4.88.

OTH my truck is not my daily so I could get away with 5.29 as well.

I'm auto, SC, and have 33's with 4:56 gears. The combo has been great for me. It keeps my rpms low on the highway but I also feel like I still have plenty of power when I need it for mountain passes or whatever. At this point I don't think I would step up to 4:88's unless the truck became a dedicated overland vehicle. Even with my canopy, rtt, and all my camping gear in / on the truck, the 4:56 gears work great.

 

Thanks yeah I’ve found the taller tires didn’t effect the truck as much as I thought they would mostly I think because of the SC. Just hit that boost! I’ve settled in on 4.88 to get more umff for the steep grades and not over do it with the SC for daily driving

 

Anybody have issues with felpro intake manifold gaskets? Either I have bad belt slip even with a new belt or it’s a boost leak.

 

Ive been running these Felpro gaskets for around 6,000 miles with no issues.

Crazy you went fel pro not saying it’s bad or anything but some gaskets are so picky I had a leak that would only seal with a oem gasket

 

OEMs are definitely more sturdy. I think I’ll try OEM and see what happens.

 

I think I just didn’t know any better at the time, lol.

 

Fel-pro won my vote after seeing the quality of their head gaskets over OEM.

But I take 7th tune information too because I know most of you run the 7th

 

5 PSI - 14.0 - 13.5
7 PSI - 13.5 - 13.0
10 PSI - 12.5 - 12.0
12 PSI - 12.0 - 11.5

Naturally stock 0psi WOT is 12-12.5, which is overkill imo
Your experience may vary since yall dont run intercoolers
