they did that because of the memes... yes they made it an actually a feature, they just showed it off because they knew they can do it so who knows if it'll actually be added in.

this is the original shit post (well the actual original shitpost was taken down)

Cool as hell. I'm not going to shit on it just because it isn't a Tacoma or have a manual transmission. They already are developing solutions for tire bead issues. We will likely see lots of TW offroaders buying skid steer type rims and tires when they are ready for market. If this works as well as it looks in the video I say, "Bravo" to the innovators...sweet mod!!!

I mean useful overlanding features are cool, lots of people want and will use those features.... but when would you EVER actually use this.

Other than in a parking lot to be like 'oh look'

I am shitting on it because it is complete garbage 'feature':notsure:

lucky you! My fronts both shat out on my 2009 by 120000k. Didn’t keep the 2018 long enough. As for my Chevy ZR2 who knows! If Toyota ever pulls their heada out of the sand and put a reasonable interest rate on the Pro’s I may get another Tacoma! But not at double to triple the interest from chevy and heep. :-(

As someone with a trail limo, being able to manoeuvre around obstacles would be ideal lol.

Automatic. Couldn't find a manual. I've driven manual for 3 years now (all three of me driving lol) so I don't mind the swap. I have a little manual shitbox when I wanna go row my own.

Now if that was how they actually marketed the 'feature' I would not be taking a big dump on it.

They market it like this? spin in circles? :jerkoff:

well we have 3 or 4 people getting trucks sometime soon, @MaverickT883 being the latest one to get theirs. (actually that was just mav waiting patiently - i remember his "few more weeks" post saying he takes it over on the 3rd)

I'm also curious since last i spoke to the dealer back in June - their first wake of trucks were suppose to show up Mid-late November. which lines up with you ordering around December and getting it April.

Not sure how the 2020's AT will be like but there is this sort of strange learning programming or something that i'm not sure if it still applies. Dealer gave me a heads up that it'd be jumping gears often for the first bit and it'd settle down over time as it "learns" your driving habits. Not 100% certain if that was marketing ploy or just an actual warning against the gear hunting thing we got.

I was told the 2020's AT is far better than the older trucks and wouldn't mind trying one out lol

Could be useful in parking or getting out of a tight squeeze or instead of 3 point turn.

I would be very interested to see this function on pavement.

You can make one hell of a scene pretty quick if you start spinning tires in opposite directions on dry pavement.
