I think my thunderbird was only 950MHz. I think it was my first CPU that wouldn't OC without physical modification. I remember the instructions including a razor blade, super glue and graphite. I was like nah, 950 is good enough.

    Haha...yes.
    maybe 900 was the duron.
I went and bought the 900 or 950 and brought it back to work for my buddy to install it. I remember he was yelling at me. "No,no,no man, wrong one!! You gotta take it back and get the 1.33"!.

Luckily the comp shop was 5 mins from work and i ran it back to him and he exchanged it for the 1.33. I want to say that think was like $400. lol

I think we just used a razor blade and a pencil to unlock it.

I think i ran a voodoo 2 or 3 banshee on it to play unreal tournement.

If I remember correctly, the L2 cache had to be bridged. I bought mine from a computer fair. The earlier you arrived, the cheaper the prices. The got the CPU and Mainboard as a combo deal.

Looks like 1.2 and above were already unlocked.
Must have been either a 900 or 1000 that we replaced the 1.33 with that we had to unlock.

Well I didn’t build it, but I was pretty happy to pick up this Surface Pro 1 at the thrift store for $25 the other day. It works perfectly. :D

    Awesome.
I'm looking for something like that to use as a rear view mirror for my racing sim setup.

Not a single hiccup from my Seasonic ps since I ordered the 850 G5.
Maybe it decided to fix itself. :fingerscrossed:

    Yeah.
Typical, lol. Pop in the new PSU and turn that BIOS feature back on and see what happens. If unstable again, you know it wasn't the PSU.

I never turned it off. Thats whats odd.
I leave my comp running 24/7 so I was afraid i'd come home to a pile of ashes where my house used to sit.

Occasionally over the last couple weeks, i'd come home from work and the Surge error was on. Atleast the feature in the bios was protecting an oversurge and shutting down.

Told myself that If I ever saw the nessage again, i'd go ahead and swap the psu out.

Funny though, My comp isnt on a surge protector, just straight in the wall.
I'm wondering if there is issues with the wiring in that particular socket.

Anyone sitting on a used 1650 super or 1660 super they want to get rid of? :anonymous:

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills trying to find anything that is remotely close to retail and not $300+ for a $150 card :boom: Originally was going to do this build with a 3400g and use the integrated graphics until prices came back down to a more reasonable level, but couldn't find one to save my life. So went with a 3600 and figured I'd start refreshing every website every five minutes for the rest of my life looking for a video card.

Edit: called a local pc shop and they had a EVGA 1660 SC Ultra 6gb for $40 over list. Figured that wasn't the worst corona tax and snagged it. Here's the final build. Everything should be here by Friday.

Finally got tired enough of my only red Corsair ML fans and since they were actually in stock for once I bought enough RGB Pro fans to replace all my red only ones.

Now I just need to either wrap the panel inside I painted red or in white or something.

Went from 100% Umbrella themed to 100% unicorn diarrhea.

But I still have a Red and White LED theme set to allow the Umbrella look.

But I really like being able to change up the colors.

Still tempted to buy the C700 case.

Not gonna lie, it felt dirty and wrong. First time ever buying one. I used to be able to get legit ones from the University I work for, but they stopped that a couple years back.

Meh, you can buy keys stolen from Dell/Acer/etc off of Kinguin and other such sites for under $20. Worth it to get rid of the writing on the screen IMHO.
