No worries. If the valves were working and/or camping was permitted right now I would have been there instead. Got two nights at Benton and it was pretty good. Pros and cons to everything.

Saw this taco camping out in marble canyon in same spot this past weekend! such a sick rig, esp when set up!

Ran the Mojave Road the last few days with my buddies in a 4Runner and a stock Outback. Got some rain and snow, solid trip!

 

Does the guy with the outback want a truck instead?

 

Loaded up and headed west! Vail, Moab and Park City see ya soon.

 

He is in the market for sure now, though he said he would maybe lift the Outback and run it a few more times... Who’s selling?

 

Not me. Just seems that if he was camping with a couple guys with trucks it would convince him to switch from a Subie to a truck.

Time to run the 27 mile long Nadeau Trail... over the course of several days!

...Heading back down the canyon, the views into Panamint Valley were awesome, even with smoke from the Creek Fire in California's Sierras. I can only imagine how my breath would be taken away on a clear day from this same location...

I'm slowly working towards an overland rig. I still need armor (Sliders ordered), winch and front bumper, roof rack, recovery gear etc. I've been backpacking and car camping all 4 seasons my whole life and looking to do it from the rig for a week or two at a time. Pics because... pics.

 

...After gawking for several minutes at the brilliant green of patinaed copper in the early morning sun, we retreated from the summit - back to the Tacoma waiting below. Once there, we didn't have far to go - as retraced our path down Echo Canyon - before we reached the narrow dry fall that we'd encountered the evening before.

No longer trying to find camp before dark, we had a few more moments to savor this interesting couple hundred feet of road, and I took full advantage....

Thought I would throw my truck in this thread. Family do 5 that does a fair bit of trail driving and camping. Lots of national parks and such.

 

We'll be heading to those parks soon, but have never taken a dog. I understand that virtually all of the main trails are off limits to dogs. My wife and I want to hike AND take the dog. What was your experience?

 

Yep. Parus trail along the bottom of zion is dog friendly. But moab parks, etc arent.

 

First of 8 days in the Mojave Preserve - northeast corner in the Clark Mountains!
