As long as interest rates stay near zero, housing market will stay hot. The problem is inflation is here (have you checked lumber prices lately?) so the rates will have to rise, at some point to calm it down and when that happens.........:crapstorm:

A number of scenarios come to mind.

Some folks have more money than sense.

Some are too damn stupid to know any different. Just see it, like it, and buy it. Unaware they could build it with components of their own liking for a fraction of the cost.

Some realize that they won’t ever be able to afford to do it on their own outta pocket... so the ridiculous mark up but being able to tuck it into the same note, works.

Could be a combination of two or more of those reasons. Either way, not for me.

The results from yesterday don't predict what the next day, month or year will bring. I think too many people have recency bias. Oh it's been great for the last decade maybe this will go on forever as they refuse to save for a rainy day. The private, government and corporate debts are piling up.

    I am awesome you asshole.

I would rather be an asshole than a whole ass.

Excuse me ma’am, I was wondering If you could have the privilege of buying me a drink.

Excuse me, do you know me from somewhere?

Baby I don’t know where I would be without me in my life.

I forget more than you’ll ever know.

    Carry on.

    Right on man!

I shouldve took plumbing apprenticeship after high school but i was too busy doing stupid shit... Some of my smarter friends went right after highschool and they are doing well.

Im greatful i have learned a lot of skills doing different jobs though. The business i am in right now will be always be in demand which is great, as we do provide essential service. Im even planning to move to the island with my wife and purchasing a house within 5-6 months. For a 32 year in BC and with nobody's help i think thats quite good. We do live in an expensive province.

Well this took a detour so I'm here for the scenery

Housing is weird. Ton of people are retiring and leaving the work force. Now younger generations are starting to actually be able to buy homes (sort of) but the lack of homes and the demand for them plus the stupid high cost averages are gonna be fun.

I called them but didn’t buy my truck from that dealer, the sales person was pushy, ignorant and obnoxious- Even more so when I told him I was buying from someone else.

I just noticed something else interesting to me. Idk if it’s been mentioned yet, forgive me if it has. The $995. Now I understand the physiology behind the $995. It’s selling something for a grand, without saying a grand. People see it’s not a grand and get excited about 5 whole dollars. For some reason rounding it up to the next thousand is a deal breaker. Anyways, to my point...

If you’re trying to disguise the fact you’re raping people on all these add-ons, why are your numbers conveniently $x,995?
