I have considered a decked system too. I'm half and half on that as well.

 

Solid axle is great. Keep toe at about 1/8", everything else is non-adjustable without significant effort

ive had a few because it would always get knocked out after wheeling but then it got frozen and ive never gotten around to fixing it and now i have more broken things lol

ya ive heard of that being a problem and thats why i went with a trailer build now so i have less to throw my truck and tip it

and decked systems are nice but they get a lot of dirt in them so they are best in a camper shell or soft topper

Bed slides are pretty great, but can also be heavy and a generally inefficient use of space. Got one in my work truck, and so far the pros outweigh the cons

I was looking at RTTs a few years ago. After a 10 day trip with my buddy and his RTT with me in my truck bed, I was no longer looking for one lol. It's so much faster to have a shell with, or without, a sleeping platform. I could go on, but the only issue is making the interface with the bedsides waterproof.
