You laugh, but if I lose that share my entire portfolio will be devastated!! I'll be wiped out man!!

 

I gotta think that somewhere in this country there are a few lawyers that would love to overturn some stones and get some notoriety for bringing issues like this to light and trying them

 

Well, I officially set a limit to paper hands my AMC for above my purchase price. But fear not! I plan to purchase again in the dip! So is it truly paper handsing?

 

It seems to me as though the majority of the momentum is behind GME. That's the battlefield with the most soldiers, and where most are willing to stand their ground and die. It doesn't seem as though people are willing to go in as hard on AMC. There is probably enough interest to keep them alive, they might even make it through the current apocalypse, but I wouldn't expect their stock to cause the same pain or make the same gains. There are also quite a few people who wouldn't mind AMC going under because it would reduce the influence of Hollyweird. This perspective is based entirely on opinions I've been reading however, not one bit of market analysis.

Yeah. Something is going on, and the most logical explanation is paper tricks. There has not been nearly enough volume for things to legitimately move the past 3 trading days and low liquidity increases price volatility.

Allegedly short interest is down, but there are ways to hide that using option generation and other methods. I suspect this is occurring.

As always, not financial advice.

Where this shakes out is still anyone's guess, but if there are a ton of counterfeit shares and hidden naked shorts out there with liquidity continuing to lock up, eventually something somewhere ignites. Whether that's in the form of a squeeze, or a major fund bankruptcy, or a governmental/SEC action, or a massive pile of class action lawsuits who knows. There will be consequences, the landing site is the unknown variable.

 

Not when the SEC Chairman takes a ton of $$ in speaking fees, from the HF management teams...
