Watching and waiting for the '14 tune OVF said should be coming out in the near future.

I had Adam tune up my 2020 Sport M/T. What a difference, noticeable immediately, and I actually have some power in low rpms now! It handles like it's running 500-1000 rpms higher than it is, just the way I wished it had been from the factory. The sound too, oh my the sound. I would definitely recommend it to anyone! Adam was super chill and accommodating. We had a little snag the first try and couldn't get it set up because it's such a new truck (manufactured in July 2020). Adam went to work immediately and got it figured out, he had me tuned up and ready to rock the next day! Very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Thanks again 5 stars.

Giving this a bump so more people can experience the true potential of the 3.5L ! Once again thanks to everyone, it really has been great meeting a bunch of people on here who I likely wouldn’t have met otherwise.

Catted or catless? I’ve been looking into it. So many people are throwing codes with dump tubes so it’s hard for me to pull the trigger right now, not trying to drive around with a CEL from dump tubes. But apparently the tune will eliminate that “soon” for people with dump tubes.

Hahaha! That’s pretty awesome. Thanks man, glad you love it. Yeah that’s a whole other can of worms I’d rather not open, the tune alone is exactly how the truck should be running. Even with 35’s it feels way better than stock

 

Big Kudos to Adam and the OV tune!

I reached out to him yesterday after test driving a 2021 OR longbed with Magnuson SC. Truth be told I found the experience with the SC to be underwhelming for a $9K plus upgrade.

I had also been looking at the OV Tune to upgrade the drivability and towing experience on my 2018 Inferno OR.

I literally messaged Adam Sunday morning, chatted for about 20 minutes and decided to let him take my money for an 87 Octane tune. Our schedules worked out and within 45 minutes I was at his place and after about 15 minutes the tune was complete. Adam was prompt and thorough in probing for what I wanted from the tune and explained everything he was doing through the process. The best upgrade to my truck by far.

While the ECU still has some learning to do. I am amazed at after the first 60 miles of driving my MPG improved by about 15% and I was not babying it at all. Running on the highway I noticed right away that it no longer downshifted 2 gears to accelerate and wander between gears to cruise at speed. The truck now uses more of the engine to accelerate and hold speed vs. constantly over down shifting.

So far the driving experience is so much more satisfying and what Toyota should have delivered from the factory!

While the Magnuson SC may have accelerated faster, the OV Tune acceleration was much more linear with smoother shifts.

Couldn’t be happier with the tune and the service Adam provided.

Hard to beat the Tune! Best bang for the buck for sure. ??? Who had the '21 with the Magnuson ? I'd like to check out their install. For that price it must have been Dealer Install - about 1/3 over price I paid for mine. Congrats on the Tune - Adam is for sure allowing many to experience the benefits of what the Tune can provide over OEM calibrations. Enjoy!

 

Thanks boss! It was dealer install- I think the price he quoted was with a private shop install, he said the dealer has it on an offroad going for 58k ha kind of excessive. It’s at Larry H Miller in Boulder I believe.

 

Got my Gen3 from them via internet - easy and best price in Denver Metro. That is a shit-pot (more than a crap-load) of cash for Gen3 even with a SC - I'd have to go to a v8 for that kind of $.

 

I was under the impression that the Magnuson required premium octane.....?

 

It does- he didn't get the supercharger, he just test drove it at a dealership. He was underwhelmed so he got the tune instead (87 octane)

I live in Gunbarrel. Two of my friends drove down from Fort Collins today and Adam drove up from Denver to install it on all 3 of our Tacos on an insanely cold day.
