I know there have been numerous threads on fitment for this, but most I've found relates to rubbing inner fenders and such. I found one that ref'd frame, but I want to verify. When I attempted a 33 on mine back whenever, it ended up actually rubbing frame (pictured). A different lift (has a body lift that was installed by prev owner) I don't think will change the relation of where the tire is rubbing the frame, so my question is would a wheel with different specs help? I'm currently running a 17x9 +20. Would a negative offset give the clearance I need?

When people refer to a frame rub they generally mean the main beam of the frame. What you are experiencing is a cab mount rub, and that has long been a known rub point. That is why there is the "cab mount chop", and you can buy precut plates to weld in after the chop, or make your own. About the only way to avoid that rub with 33s is to limit your caster, and that is not a good idea. Do the chop, or find someone in your area that will help you. It is very common. Search cab mount chop, and you will be reading for weeks.

Thanks, man, much appreciated. I actually did just come across a thread about the "CMC" and was about to ask if that was my issue. Feel a lot better now that I at least have some direction for a next step.

Glad to help. I see you are new here, so welcome. There is a pretty deep well of knowledge here, and a bunch of pretty good folks to help out. The pinch weld just above your cab mount is another thing you might want to fix. The best way to deal with that is to take a big hammer and smash it flat. I would seal it up after the bending to prevent salt or water from getting in there and causing corrosion. I see your factory mud flaps are already gone, good. If you take care of those three things: CMC, pinch weld, and flaps, you are good to go on 33s

Sounds good and I'm sure I'll be spending a lot of time here. I did see something on the pinch weld as well so I'll check that out more for sure. And, yes, those flaps..I had started off just trying to trim the inside, but when I tried to test drive the 33, the tire grabbed that thing and mangled it..lol.
