I hear a drone on my truck now. I can't tell if it's the addition of the traction boards on top or something with wheels.

ya the 2 lane part is to congested most of the time which is annoying. and 435 is a lawless wasteland where ever you go lol

My commute on 435 is why I try to leave work by 3. No airbag + Kansans weaving through rush hour traffic is a no from me dawg. Rush hour actually gets worse on 470 though. At the triangle and after the 50 exit are almost always damn near standstill

 

so something about aftermarket wheels ive always noticed is one they are lighter and two they make more noise because of how light they are. but its more of a whine if its a drone that would be something to do with exhaust maybe

 

back when i worked at my old shop i hated driving in down town with my 91 it would be stop in go traffic until i hit the stadiums half the time so it was always 1-2, 1-2!

I'm not sure how to describe it, I hear things differently than you all.

It's definitely a droning or whining noise. Roommate did think it came from the wheels and not the traction boards.

it was the fastest way to work sadly the other route was to hit 435 up to 210 and then make my way to riverside but that added another 30mins because of traffic. it all got better when i switched to second shift then i had no issues

not sure tbh it could be from the wheels being lighter it could be a bad wheel bearing or hub assembly but tbh i dont know
