What those do as well is get rid of that profile that ties into the fog light surrounds. Compare the left and right side of the product picture.

If you're doing a full bumper that comes up more to follow that profile, it isn't a big deal. It looks weird to me on ones that come straight across though. For $200, painted, and with a straight cut that eliminated risk...yeah, I'd do that.

I installed my passenger side springs upside down on the shock while on cruise control. Didn't realize it til I buttoned that side up and moved to the driver side. Realized it and had to redo it but it was good it happened bc they might have done the same thing on the other truck if I hadn't said anything
