    Also wanted to add - the color difference between the armrests is not nearly as noticeable in person.

    The graphite color is also available in SEM classic coat, which works on leather.

    Now to find matches for the oak colors.

    Thanks for testing that! :thumbsup: it looks like a pretty decent match, especially as you point out, for a 25 year old interior.

    Go to www.toyota.com
    See drop down menu, " Owners"
    Enter you VIN to see how your truck left the factory.
    You can also see history of ALL service performed at the dealer on your truck.
    There's a section to add your own notes for maintenance etc. (No future owners can see ths section)

    Bumping this old thread as these are my findings on Tacoma and 4Runner interior colors. First picture is for Tacoma's and second picture is for 4Runner's.

    I found a company that makes the interior dye’s. They told me that you can color the plastic with the dye using their products (the one for plastic isn’t listed on their site, you have to email them). This company is https://autoleatherdye.com/pages/toyota-dye-color-chart. This link takes you to all of the colors they have for Toyota. I ordered Moon mist and it will be here on Feb 4th. I spent $139 and will be able to do my dash, center console and have a few spare ounces. According to them you can color anything in your interior, leather, fabrics, plastic, carpets etc.

    *edit for information *

    The Moon Mist color they have (TOY31) is too dark. Ordered an 8of bottle of the light Moon Mist (TOY27) and will test it out. I will add my findings to this post.

    *second edit for information *
    The light moon mist (TOY27) is still too dark. I sent off an email and they say they can color match. I have a brand new still in plastic seat hardware cover that I will send in. I will see how that goes and edit again.

    *3rd edit for information
    They color matched the piece I sent them and it is extremely close. They labeled the bottles they sent “Moonmist”. I ran a test strip on another brand new part I had and am happy with it. I am following up with pictures of all 3 of the test strips I had done with the different colors. I will do a full part and post a picture

    Toyota Lunar Mist has changed since my 2003. The color code on the door sticker is 1C8. They’ve slightly altered that color and I can now only buy that slightly darker 1C8 Lunar Mist. It’s the way it is. In my case, I’d have to be lucky enough to find a 1C8 touch up pen from someone’s back of seat toolbox from 2003.

    SEM 15223 "Castella". People on the 4runner forum say it's a dead on match. I bought it by mistake because I thought I had oak, but I actually have light charcoal. It's definitely an oak dye. Your NAPA might have to order it, but automotive paint supply stores should stock it as well.

    Hmm ok I'll check that out at some point. I ordered some other SEM colors through Vinyl Pros based on their recommendation of a Toyota list they had. Not sure I got a good match but it's nice to know there is a dead on one.

    Also if anyone ends up looking for Light Charcoal (FK10) I would suggest taking it to your local auto paint store to have custom mixed. It's SEM 5252 but you can't buy that in a can by itself and it needs to be lightened to match exactly to the OEM color. SEM also has a color chart on their website and #15183 "Warm Gray" looked pretty close but if you want perfection I would just get it matched by a pro.

    is blue/gray basically the same as 'moon mist', or was there another color scheme that was specifically called 'blue gray'? I'm shopping around for a replacement lid for my center console ('98 taco w/ moon mist). I'm seeing lots of listings for 'blue gray' with a slightly different part #:
    58905-35040-B0 => 'blue gray'
    58905-35040-B1 => 'moon mist'

    the pictures in the ads for 'blue gray' sure do look alot like 'moon mist', but it's hard to tell without seeing them in person. Anyone have any ideas how close or different these two are?

    Bumping this, as I too am trying to find a close SEM Color Coat match to the blue/grey interior code "10," AKA Moon Mist.
    One of the previous replies to this thread covered the slight difference between the code "11" gray and the code "10" blue/grey, as well as included some pics of the difference. That reply also noted that SEM Color Coat "Graphite" was a really close match to the code 11 grey, and that they were also going to redo their code 10 passenger airbag cover with the Graphite as they thought it would also be a close enough match, exactly what I am looking to do. Unfortunately there wasn't a follow up, so I don't know how it went. What I see on the SEM site, as well as their color charts, #15303 "Graphite" looks like a really dark grey, nothing like a blue/grey, and nothing like the example previously shown on this thread. Someone else mentioned SEM #15813 "Warm Gray" looked like a close match for the '01 and up code 10 Light Charcoal, but again Idk how close to the 2000 and older code 10 Moon Mist it is. I think either "Warm Gray", #15053 "Granite", or #15163 "Presidio" *look* close, but I am also just guessing from a color chart that may or may not be a close representation of the actual color...
    I can't justify buying several different cans to experiment at $15+/can; Has anyone else actually tried and gotten a close match for the Moon Mist, code "10" blue/grey out of any of these? ...as noted by others there is not going to be a "perfect match," and that's fine. But I can't find anything even close.
    SEM's website also lists a different type of paint, not Color Coat or Classic Coat, and specifies 2 of the colors as "Moon Mist" and "Medium Moon Mist." There are no examples of them on any color chart, though, and I believe they are a custom order in a larger size, like a quart for a sprayer, which I am not looking for...

    When I moved from my first 2001 Tacoma DC to my current 2003 DC, I switched the complete interiors between the two trucks. Everything.

    So now my Super White 2003 has the charcoal interior (in excellent condition) that I wanted, and there's a Lunar Mist metallic 2001 out there with a definitely out-of-spec but not-as-bad-as-you'd-think oak interior! :eek:
