I've thought about helping stuck vehicles when I see them but it's usually a low ground clearance sedan which I am sure has no good tow point. I'd like to help but their vehicle design just doesn't allow for it. They need a tow truck.

 

I know nowadays it's all about everything being light weight and cheaply made but just 1 simple tow hook on the front and rear of vehicles should be mandatory in my opinion.
It just makes sense.

 

Went out during my lunch break, while the kiddo was on his since they are home again today because of the snow, to clear my driveway.

Done. All told 7 hour shoveling. Dec storm was 6 hours shoveling. Really should fix my snow thrower.

We "lucked out" big time...with all the big wind we got 0"-20" just depends where you are and when I got up this morning my neighbor's cousin had knocked away the end-of-the-driveway snowplow drift so it was ease-peizie to get the clearing job done. Missed the rain/sleet here as well...now that I said that we'll get our a$$ kicked in the next storm I'm sure!

Just got a notification from the kiddo's school that he's considered close contact to someone, who was last in school last Wednesday.

Not he has to stay home and he's only allowed back on Monday, since the 10 day quarantine that he has to do ends on Saturday.

I would think by now, since the person was last in school last Wednesday, that if he caught anything he'd be sick and showing symptoms by now. He's fine, and we're fine.

What a fucking mess.

 

Yup, totally sucks! I would just urge some caution especially with kids, they can be Covid positive and not have any symptoms. I sure hope he does not, nor anyone in your house get it! Hang in there man!

 

If its been the 5 or however many days it takes to show symptoms, you should be able to show a negative result and go back

I wish... but school policy for us here, no dice. Still have to stay home the full 10 days. And I know that because my next door neighbor's kid is in school in town as well, and he told me the BS he experienced.

 

Found out just a few minutes ago, thanks to an email from his teacher, that the entire room is in quarantine, unexpectedly.

We knew sooner or later it would happen. It is what it is.

We did take him to get tested because of the Mrs though. Even though for our school district we didn't need to, but the Mrs teaches in a different one, and because she did the right thing by telling her school nurse and principal, they told her that OUR SON needed to have a negative test in order for her to be allowed to go in to school to teach. Guess it's a school district policy thing in the one she teaches in.

So now we wait.
