    i dont think you will find a tri pod like that pictured above that can collapse enough to shoot prone
    i think for shooting prone your best bet would be a bipod or monopod

    I run a feisol CT-3442 with a RRS TA-U-LC leveling base which gets me low enough to shoot prone. Used it this way during PRS stages that require you to change levels and shoot through branches/trees.

    It will lower down to prone easily, about 8". I removed the center stalk to allow it to do that.
    There are a bunch of options on pods, I went with one that wasn't on the insanely expensive side of the scale and added a good ball head and the pig saddle.

    There are a lot of pods that will let you go prone.
