I use TD Ameritrade‘s think or swim platform. I have it set for one minute presently so you can see the volume each minute since premarket started at 4 AM. When you see consistent buy sell volumes and then a massive spike green that’s a good sign

 

I like good signs.

The desktop one is 1 million times better. The web base one will let you see the volume is better than a regular interface but you lose a lot of the functionality of the desktop platform.

I literally can see huge volume buys 1-2 days before a stock starts getting hyped, pumped or whatever you want to call it.

silver was the most obvious as you could literally see it start Thursday/Friday last week.
I am sure those put options or covered calls were already purchased for the Monday dump too.

I do see a short-lived enthusiasm for day-trading that will quickly peter out. The gains just don't magically pull money from the air, your wins today were somebody else's losses (admittedly oversimplified). Once the average ape realizes just how high risk day trading really is, theyll lose a taste for it. It's certainly not my favorite method. I've always been an old fashioned "buy, hold, and never sell" type.
