Crazy right? I thought for sure Americans where to stupid to realize that debt in the form of bonds is a very GOOD thing. It means they won't raise capitol via shares so the stock price won't get diluted. Thanks America. lol

Ive done a few cruises, theyre fun for what they are, but I'm pretty much done with them. I will say that the RC boat I was on had a rigid schedule of draining/refilling the pools and hot tubs thrice daily. Pretty neat trick with their saltwater system, they could cycle their largest pool in less than 5 minutes. The Carnival boat, well, they had the mechanical capability, but somewhat lacked in the give-a-fuck-about-cleanliness department.

 

First half-hour of trading, GME is up to 118 and now back down to 100. Gonna be one of those kinds of days, eh?

We like cruises for what they are, as you say.

We're within an 8 hour drive of several cruise ports, allowing us to catch a last-minute deal without having to worry about air travel.

A lot of it really depends on what you're looking to get from it - we mostly just chill in the sunshine rather than looking to be entertained. At cruise ports we tend to go do stuff on our own or stay on the ship.

Probably be different if we had children/teens to keep up with.

Our first cruise we made out like bandits. It was right as one of the big hurricanes was going on a few years ago, and our ship had to stay out at sea for a few days longer to avoid the storm. Royal allowed people to cancel their cruise if they liked, but gave people discounts and rebates if they chose to stay. We did since we lived half an hour from the port, so no big deal to us. We ended up getting half of what we spent refunded as on-board spending money, and then another half as a refund when we were done. Plus, our 6,000 capacity ship was housing about 2,000 people. No lines for anything, no reservations for anything. We'd go up to the pool deck in the evenings after dinner and had the entire deck to ourselves a couple times. It was fantastic.

 

Come on NIO. If NIO turns green my entire portfolio will be green. That doesn't happen often.

CLNE has a nice jump today. They release earning tomorrow so either something leaked or there's some news I'm not seeing. Up over 20% right now.

 

Found it. Credit Suisse initiated coverage on CLNE. $17 price target. How nice of them to do that right before earnings.
