I dunno how you guys can make an informed comment on this anyways with these stupid leaks. I really hate leaks. Wait until the thing is officially unveiled and then ask again.

But likely no, I don't want a ford or a Nissan.

I had that combination in my last F-150 and that engine never felt short on power, even towing 6000 lbs. I think unloaded 0-60 was 5.7 seconds on that truck, it was pretty impressive. It'd be an absolute rocket in something smaller.

I looked into buying one (Frontier), but after researching it from an operating and maintenance perspective, I decided not to make that mistake.

You should be happy if you chose the taco. It’s not just about actual dollars & cents, but also from an Intrinsic value perspective.

Nissan has been teasing a redesign of the Frontier for years. Looks like it might be happening. I traded my 2014 Frontier SV 4X2 for a 2020 Tacoma Limited a couple months ago. Couldn’t be happier. The Frontier was a good solid reliable truck but the Toyota is better in every way. Will the new Frontier compete? We’ll see.

Not interested in either personally, but idk how much that's me telling myself my 2019 Tacoma is fine. Honestly I've loved every minute with this '19 being my first truck, and I hesitate to want anything else.

I test drove a Ranger in summer 2019. While I admit I was already heavily considering the Tacoma with premium package (sunroof, leather) the Ranger just felt cheaply made and poorly thought out design-wise, and personally I'll stay away from Nissan due to their QC issues within the last 10-15 years.

I think the point here is even with "leaks" and whatnot, I already know I wouldn't consider anything else. It's not about wanting the next coolest or more modern thing but rather about being genuinely happy with the truck I'm driving. It seems a few people in here share that opinion as well. I'd be kidding if I said the child inside me didn't want to own a Raptor though...

If the Ranger was available with the 2.7 Ecoboost I would have bought one instead of the Tacoma.

Worst vehicle I ever owned was a Nissan Altima. Quality and reliability made Chevy look good. If it was just one problem, I’d call it a fluke, but that car had so many issues I had to get ride of it to stay solvent. No more Nissan for me. Ford has never let me down and I would consider.

It's also disappointing that you can't get a crew cab with the 6 ft bed.

My extended cab F-150 has a usable back seat, but midsize extended cabs really don't. I liked the size of my DCLB Tacoma.

Actually no. When I bought my Tacoma one year ago I looked at the frontier again. The year old frontier prices had gone from $20k to $30k. Since my preference was a manual transmission double cab I purchased the Tacoma

The Rangers are a very dull truck, they need the Raptor to look similar to the Taco for curb appeal and Ford knows this.

Not really a fan of Nissan having had friends with bad experiences with that brand. I do not really see a lot of Frontiers in general here let alone many with modifications such as lifts, tires, or bumpers of any kind. I suppose if one wanted to be unique buying one along with outfitting it a bit would certainly set you apart.

I'm excited to see more mid-sized truck options and really hope the frontier delivers. But I'll be sticking my Tacoma, the only thing I have left is to do a mild lift and it's everything I could ever want in a truck.

I don't blame you. I guess I was thinking if you had purchased those frontiers when you first started looking (2-3 years ago) you might have been able to sell them for more than you bought them for as the price for them has gone up, depending on how many more miles you put on them.

Modifications on a Frontier are kind of a PITA especially when it comes to finding tires to go with that lift.
In other words, Frontier mods are a...

the good news about the frontier redesign is that it will look new for another 15 years.

If they decide to copy the Navara that's in this thread then l think that design is already several years old too.
